Anyone use nVidia videocard 8800 GTS in WB? I just upgraded my computer and got very strange pictures P.S. Intel Core Duo, 2 Gb RAM, OS - XP....
Hmm, looks like a driver problem... Or, maybe your graphic card is too much powerful for this "simulator"...
Seriously, it seems that GFX paint sky as grey/black... I know older nVidias had driver issues, so maybe this would also be valid in this case. What driver do you use? I have a way older gEforce fX5200, I had problems with earleir 'detonator' drivers. Now I have not had driver issues for som etime, but it's always nervous when updating GFX driver I use now 93.71 drivers from nVidia.
8800 series requires special drivers, which are inappropriate for other nVidia video card - 97.92 or latest 158.19...
I upgraded my computer, more precisely - assembled new one, just because my ASUS P4P800 motherboard suddenly died... I think, it is possible to program a simple DirectX 7.0 example with 16-bit textures, which reproduces situation with WB and inform nVidia developers. The only one small problem is that I absolutely don't know DirectX API
If you proof that your card works fine under last nVidia beta version 165.01 drivers in WB, http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=Files&go=cat&dwn_cat_id=15 we will continue our negotiations
Hi. I got some problems here using Forceware over than V80.0. The best i tested was 79.05 WHQL or tweeked drives. Here I noticed the clouds appears square and some color distorsion, but nothing like your picture. My old card was a Nvidia TI4800 128mb 128bits. Nowadays I'm using ATI 1650Pro 256mb 128bits, drive 7.4 and works fine. I've tested other Nvidia models. Nvidia was better than ATI to Warbirds, but ATI is better to IL2 series, cause I use all settings at maximum and works fine IMO .
I solved some problems with nVidia in the beginning of the February (See thread "Warbirds in 32bit color mode")...
Rgr, I saw that. I've downloaded the patch but doesn't work that time. I usually visit www.guru3d.com forum to search issues about video cards. Maybe u can find something there to help you.
I had a similar problem. I used the older drivers from the Nvidia website. It was a bitch. I also had to use an older version of DirectX.
It was so long ago. got rid of the machine. I think it was maybe 9.0 or was there a 8.1? It was the one that came with the old set of nvidia drivers right on the original CD. Good Luck, dude.
