Unfortunately, IL2 Front End is a commercial product and we should buy it.
Your must have version 4.09 on your PC for installing FH MOD.

You need to buy one, but in principal if you'll lucky enough you can download it for free via torrent for example.

i'd like to know from ppl who already play beta :
-in comparison with wb, how is game play about net lag, warps, and graphic fluidity?
- what is the way to comunicate with other pilots? radio typing or voice?

 

I did not manage to try FH for IL-2 but I can tell you that
1. If server is good (nice PC and nice connection) and you have good connection and of course good PC all will be good, BUT let say that SERVER is Great so only thing to worried is You /your PC and of course opponent PC/connection because even you have all great if he/she do not have that he/she will lag

2. Communication today is almost 95 % via Team Speak and if server do not have one up I think several squads have their own TS server or uses someones TS, but there is always possibility to uses "my army", chat or "private" or "to all" chat in console

it is easier today for some things then several years ago

 

well giving 6 calls sux, radio is imho worse than in WB, a lot worse
server connect was great on the new IP that got turned off recently
the old one working now is a bit worse and I f.ex. do get timeouts...

 

Well I do not know if this need new thread but I just wanna ask you if it is possible to add Server on Hiper Loby? so it would be easier for all to join and play

Yes, you are absolutely right, especially "call 6". But I hope, if the project will be succesful, this trouble will be resolved.

 

Yes pls, we need HL connect ability for more red/blue players. There are huge online community at Hyper Lobby, so we will see that increase of IL-2/Warbirds player im sure.

 

well this is IL-2 problem, not FH mod problem, so I don't blame you
but if there is a possibility to make radio better it would sure be nice

 

I am not an IL2 FH developer (I modified only one map) so I said "I hope".

 

I have bot few softwares. Over the years, the ones I have PAID for were worth something, instead of 'worth shit.' I bot lots of software 'not worth shit.' I would PAY FOR IL-2 in a pinch. Anyone over there, where I hear you are all VERY COLD THIS WINTER who needs some money, just show me you are that guy, that Russian one, um, what's is name....

Where does a guy buy the software, I had it before..... But that doesn't count, that last time I held some CD from those guys, my machine couldn't handle things... now I have a heart attack and more motivation to play and I have a much much MUCH better linux box... [it could be a windows box too, if it were not for the windows....]
