O.K. this has been a major problem in the arena. Is it possible to just get rid of the .attach command in the game or make it to be used exclusively in the training arena. To many people complaining about others using it as a cheat to help find and kill other pilots rather than use it for its intended purpose of training/teaching newer pilots some of the finer points of air combat tactics and maneuvers. its really the best thing to just remove it from the main arena. i think all would benifit, if anything would stop those damn complaints in the 100 channel which are annoying as hell. Thanks for listening. bullet
Yes, please get rid of this command. It serves NO use here. Its a nice thought but it is not being used for the purpose it was designed for. It is mostly used for spying and all know this to be true. Casper
its being used in the main arena vib, no place for it there. it is being used for all the wrong reasons. The training arena would be just fine. but in the main arena it should go. bullet
Very good point badg, but i can just see it not, a pilot continually getting harassed with 'Player so and so wishing to join yout cockpit' so ya denie the asker, so he keeps on asking and asking and asking. I would think the training arena is where it should be exclusively. <S> and good tosee ya in here badg. bullet
I suppose a sort of general .agree should be implemented. A pilot may allow or disallow attaching with only one command -- no need to react to every spy, spammer or just curious person.
I like the feature, if there was some way to require permission (.agree), for me this would be enough. I think most would use this properly in the MA. If someone was to become a pest, constantly asking, surely .ignore would be a quick fix?
I agree BISH. Some kind of permission may work, but frankly, I just dont see the need for it in MA. The only thing is for human gunner and again, who scores on hits?
imho theres a huge difference between 1/1, 2/2 or whatever fight at Training Arena and multiplayer environmet at Main Arena and some aspects of gameplay cant be shown at TA (talkin about situational awarness, decision takin in various situations etc) so anyway id like to see permission for .attach command rather than limiting this only for TA
Well i think .attach has HUGE training capabilities especialy with teamspeak and that is to be used in live combat on MA but not with the posibility of spying. So somekind of pilot agreement switch should be made or no attach at all.
For the umpteen millionth time, .attach cannot be used to spy unless you have two computers, and are logged in on each as a different colour. In this case, you are already cheating. Oh and BTW....AFAIK it was introduced to enable human gunners on buffs, not as a training tool. Unfortunately, they have not ironed out the bugs, so attached gunners hits don't count. regards, Oz
for the umpteen milionth time and one .attach command can be used ifor spyin in any case u just need one sq member to change side and attach and the other sq member to use info from his mate lol is that so hard to imagine? and yes, it is cheating
Suggestion - new commands: .attachme [callsign] , the instructor pilot invite other pilot for attach (in flight) if other pilot accept, he types (in tower), for example: .attachok And disable the .attach (only admins use this, to verify possible cheats) sorry for my bad english, I'm learning.
What.... You don't think someone would have a squad mate change to other side and ask "hey spuint...where are you heading? I'll bring a fighter to help."? Are people in this community so stupid as to think that people didn't cheat until .attach was created? (rhetorical) Personally...I don't really care either way, but with the number of complaints from people such as yourself about being killed by otto, I would have thought you would be supporting a move which brought human gunners into the game. regards, Oz
