I agree with your choices. All great songs from Squeeze. One I would add would be : "black coffee in bed" Speaking of those bands of the period; what about Madness and like "Our House" ?
Speaking of abstract and some really good music compression and editing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PjUY8IXvnA Peek-a-Boo Creeping up the backstairs Slinking into dark stalls Shapeless and slumped in bathchairs Furtive eyes peep out of holes She has many guises She'll do what you want her to Playing dead and sweet submission Cracks the whip deadpan on cue Peek-a-boo Peek-a-boo Peek-a-boo Peek-a-boo Reeking like a pigsty Peeling back and gagging free Flaccid ego in your hand Chokes on dry tears, can you understand? She's jeering at the shadows Sneering behind a smile Lunge and thrust to pout and pucker Into the face of the beguiled Peek-a-boo Peek-a-boo Golly jeepers Where'd you get those peepers? Peepshow, creepshow Where did you get those eyes? Strobe lights pump and flicker Dry lips crack out for more `Come bite on this rag doll, baby! That's right, now hit the floor' They're sneaking out the back door She gets up from all fours Rhinestone fools and silver dollars Curdle into bitter tears Peek-a-boo Peek-a-boo Golly jeepers Where'd you get those peepers? Peepshow, creepshow Where did you get those eyes?
For you guys, Nickel from Murmansk region, Russia. Btw, good clip, good music. White Lies - Farewell To The Fairground The lights still in our eyes, we're leaving this old fairground behind, it's a dream that's growing cold. The Circus never dies, the act forever haunts these skies, I know we cannot stay. Farewell to the fairground, these rides aren't working anymore. Goodbye to this dead town, until the ice begins to thaw. This place used to gleam, I see it in my hopeful dreams, now I have to get away. We move towards the stars, and all that we touch becomes ours, let's keep warm till it's day. Farewell to the fairground, these rides aren't working anymore. Goodbye to this dead town, until the ice begins to thaw. We'll head south, just hold my hand now. I feel like i'm casting off my clothes and I'm running through the snow towards the sunset and I'm always with you. Keep on running, keep keep on running, there's no place like home, there's no place like home. Farewell to the fairground, these rides aren't working anymore. Goodbye to this dead town, until the ice begins to thaw. We'll head south, just hold my hand now, I feel like i'm casting off my clothes and I'm running through the snow towards the sunset, and I'm always with you
Is anyone here beside me into instrumental film music? You know, original soundtracks such as Hans Zimmer's Crimson Tide, Bear McGreary's Battlestar Galactica, etc.?
Yeah Ant, actually I'm in the process of finding an appropriate soundtrack for my flashplayer porno with Uncles and Co. (Karl Lagerfeld, thermate man, Kimbo slice etc.) What kind of soundtrack goes with watchin Uncles get DP'd by Karl and Kimbo? Don't tell me "theme from star wars" pls. How about linus and lucy theme from charlie brown or maybe "Whole Lotta Love" by zep?
I don't like the Star Wars theme much actually. I guess you're saying that movie soundtracks aren't real music, huh? Ignorant fool. I mean stuff like this: Divinity Theme (from Elizabeth: The Golden Age) Hymn To The Fallen (from Saving Private Ryan) The Signal (from Battlestar Galactica, Season 4) Resurrection Hub (from Battlestar Galactica, Season 4) Worthy Of Survival (from Battlestar Galactica, Season 2) Chevaliers de Sangreal (from The Davinci Code) Mutiny (from Crimson Tide) Journey To The Line (from The Thin Red Line)
Hey Ant; How about "Ecstasy of Gold" from "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV0wPBYDQ6Y Also theme music from Zulu and Lawrence of Arabia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjvKZHJeayg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx7KzuXz4AM see the whole movie: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=941D894792FCB2CD&search_query=zulu+movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LI2c3M9q9yI
"Baltar's Dream" is top Bear McReary stuff. Couple it with slow motion of the most powerful vehicle of all time and....well. Baltar's Dream
Let's add the theme song(s) to "Last of the Mohicans" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWGRnHOhGiE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBpf9dfe1No&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzkCm4fi2H4&feature=related
Three more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHAvjaHtlMA&feature=related from Gladiator http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjQWBzGRCKU&feature=related from Band of Brothers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qd_7Bnxblo4&feature=related from the Good the Bad and the Ugly
Hans Zimmer themes are pretty much all the same. Just have a lookie at the Gladiator and then the Pirates of the Caribbean yup, he did some work on one of these copy, paste
Not necessarily. The "Davinci Code" soundtrack sounds completely different than the "Crimson Tide" one, for instance. Many of his works bear a certain resemblance to one another, but even so I've never seen a Hans Zimmer soundtrack that wasn't good.
I couldn't work out if you're agreeing with me or ridiculing me. Please help me out, which one is it?
