Hello warriors I'm an old vet of WBFH but have not flown in a few years. Was getting the itch to come mix it up again. I DL'd all the neccesary files, but I am now on Win20000 and am getting the crash to desktop when switching planes. I have searched for help and found.... 'If you are running Windows 2000 and want to be able to play in 3D you will probably need to remove a tick from "Display properties->Effects->Use transition effects for menus and tooltips", otherwise wb may crash when you change the plane.' Call me a dope, but I'm not sure how to interpret and affect these changes. Is 'display properties' in the WB setup somewhere or is it a Windows thing? Can anyone explain in detail how I would go about accomplishing this please. I'll be rusty as hell for awhile and you can all take turns doing fly-bys over my wreckage as payment for your help
Ive never used win2000 but assuming its similar to xp all u have to do is right click on the desktop, when it opens display properties select apperance, then click the effects button and unclick the USE THE FOLLOWING TRANSITION EFFECT FOR MENUS AND TOOLTIPS.
Thx for trying....But I have WindowsXP Professional version2002. I was erred in stating I had Win2000. When I rt clk on desktop and go 'properties' I get the following tabs... themes dektop screensaver appearance settings Even under 'appearance' I have no option for... Now strangely they are sluggish unresponsive POS. oh and watch out for the zero bro it is a tank these days while 5 7.62's took both my ailerons off in a spit. yep you heard right only five.
