In dutch, most swearing has something to do with diseases. For instance: "Kanker" means cancer, "Tering" means TBC, "Tyfus" speaks for itself (typhoid), "Pleuris" comes from Pleuritis or Pneumonic Plague, "Pest" is the Bubonic Plague, "Pokke" is the pox, "Kolere" (this one tricky, can be used by itself) comes from Cholera.

Another famous insult is "Godverdomme!" which is internationally known as THE MOST EFFECTIVE insult ever! Thanks to our guttural pronounciation (ask Malino or Glas) even someone from Japan will understand that "GODVERDOMME!" means you're not pleased. It literally means "God damn it!".

Swearing in Dutch is easy. Take a disease (any disease will do) and a subject (for instance, "lul", which means "dick" and can be used as an insult against a male person). Put these two together and you get "Kankerlul!", which would mean something like "Cancerous Dick". The variations can be endless (ask someone from the city of The Hague ). Also, multiple words can be placed in front of the actual subject. For instance: "Vuile Vieze Gore Grafkanker Cholera Poot!" which would mean "Disgusting Dirty Filthy "Grave"-Cancer Cholera Faggot". If you'd say this to me, I'd probably respond with something along the lines of: "Je moet je tyfusmuil dichthouden, van de pot gerukte longhond! Ik had je pa kunnen wezen als je ma niet zo had gestonken!" which (roughly) equals: "Shut your typhoid-infested mouth, you "pulled-from-the-potty lung-dog! I could've been your daddy if your mom didn't smell that bad!".
