More likely they are Fiat CR 32 since, according to my sources, CR 42 didn't served in China. Attached quote from Squadron Signal In Action 172.

Imho war and prewar movies (from guncams...) were made on 18 fps rate, wich makes everthing seem to be faster. See fe. old Chaplin fimls...

Just listen to engine and guns... They are absolutely normal. So, will you explain, how video could be faster than sound?

    Sound most likely is faked.
You cant hear anything in the plane ouside the engine.

Also i doubt someone get audio equpment in filght in ?1937-1940? in Japan.

I am not about that. Most likely this documentary has been used in cinemas of that time. If it got sound, it got it back then. Do you want to say Japanese were making video and sound rows at different speeds, eh?

Vadim, in a WWII fighter cockpit you can heard only engine sound, from some pilots biografy i found that some couldn't even heard when they got pinged! lol
but i'm sure 100% even if that Ki had a sound recorder (and i really doubt it) it was impossible to record the sound of an other airplane.

btw, give me 1 month and i will tell you what you can heard in a P51 cockpit :D

i've read pilots say that they could hear pings even from little 7mm guns ("hail on a tin roof" is a phrase i've read too many times - WW2 pilots: great stories, but not always the most creative authors) & read some saying they could hear gunfire from nearby planes when it didnt even hit them...maybe it makes a big difference if someone else is yelling
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" into the radio at the time

No, you don't understand me :) Japanese have made some inflight record, then, in studio, add sound to it, then show in cinemas for propaganda purposes. Back then. Do you think they have changed the speed of the video row?
