The .attach-command make it possible, to view the cockpit of somebody else.
(This seems to be the first step to implement human gunners on Buffs.)

At the Moment you can attach to any pilot without asking for permissions.
I think, this is abuse of the command.

What do you think, how this command should work?

    @forum-admins:
can you add "disable map-view for attached guests" to this poll?

I vote for none of the above.

.attach should be approved by pilot, but not necessarily by pilot invitation.

Human gunners are already set up in the WB software, I can't see why this system can't be enabled on FH server. Anyone know how TH set their system up?

Also, is there any way to disable map view for ppl when attached? This would eliminate cheaters spoiling raids.

    regards, Oz

    i can't change the poll.
so please take the "Invitation" as "Approvement", because
it doesn't matter if you ask the pilot for approvement or invitation: the amount of commands are allways two.

the same reason, why you don't provide a wb3-server:
you don't know how to handle the client.
you must programm the server by yourself, because it's not a public-domain programm.

    as allways: maybe i'm wrong.

Invitation or approvement would be the best, I'd like to know if my otto is human (worth his lunch) or AI. PLUS if I got a human otto we could use some unusual channel for communication within the plane, thus cleaning up both public channel and in some cases squad channel.

(I know that I babble on public channel a lot, you don't have to tell me ;) )

If invitation is used, I don't see spying as a problem, because who would let enemy pilots in as otto/observer :turret:?

With human otto it would be more realistic buff flights, ie the buff won't lvl when otto is working, but would still (be able to) manouvre.

    But that's MY opinion. Thx.

Its gunna be awhile before Im back on a computer so lets make this meaningfull....

SINCE WHEN THE HELL CAN ANYONE ATTACH TO ANYONE? All this "where is someone" and what not makes no sense if you can just attach to them, the entire concept is as helpfull as 0 second time limits between switching colors....

I think if theres something someone wants to see, it should be by a track posted or given by the pilot/s.

I tried it the other night attaching to Vipe.

It's not all that hot as it dosn't show you where the pilot is looking.

    ho-hum.

This is one of the many bugs with .attach at present. You can't actually inflict any damage because you are not in victim's database. In other words it should be disabled until it is fixed, as the only use for it currently is to cheat.

    regards, Oz

BTW...after flying tonight, I see .attach to enemy is no longer enabled. WTG admins.
