Well..... let's see: still learning to walk on two legs, crying like a baby and wetting her pants when being chased or followed...or not having her way.... needs to wears a diaper...... Yup, that's a 109 "pilot" alright. Too bad they are not all as cute though.....
Did anyone check out the low landing that links from the above vid? http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=2037500780 You don't get your tan from the sun on this beach.
E fight shmee fight. Depends on WHAT version of the 38 we're talking about. F model? Yea, no contest there. J or L? 109G2 doesn't climb that much better that it would necessarily win the E fight every time. That said, I don't share ALW's confidence that the 38 would win the turn fight, much less in 10 seconds. That's all IMHO (tm), of course.
To the unlucky Goldie: How about we take that idea out and see if it flies Is a 109G2 more capable than a Ki84? I've taken my share of Ki84's down in stall-fights
Hi ALW, i like P38 too, but in my opinion reds don't fly P38 due the very poor visibility in cockpit, i think that in real plane the visibility was very good,, cause P38 was the first american plane in war with a good rear view, this cockpit model in WB is a bug in my opinion. Regards, Bandei.
cc, cockpit visibility from the P-38 is much better in Warbirds III (one of the few things WB III does better than WB 2). The problem is that, in WB 2, when you try to look over your shoulder, you really only end up starting at your seat.
Problem is there's no way to lean around headrests. All planes that have bubble canopies should really be able to see their own tails, but for some reason the Yaks and Las are the only planes that have perfect rear view. Did the soviets not provide their pilots with neck support? Also I don't fly p-38 because it has quirky handling, and isn't fast enough for me.
