Don't have time now, maybe later. But, In 2014 i supported separatists in east Ukraine, watched videos with Givi and Motorola and other people fighting for independence. They felt they could win after observing smooth invasion on Crimea by Russians In my opinion mr. Putin should declare - no more military operations - after taking Crimea, to stop potential separatistic movements. Now I support Ukrainians. Since 24 feb. All evil things and deaths in Ukraine are Russians fault. No matter who shot or own bomb. You caused it.
even those self fires? all "evil things" have explanations and causes. i bet you'd support Donbass if MFU started to attack Donetsk in 25/02/2002, but your support makes nothing to those lives in Donetsk and Lugansk. But Putin's support - made a hope for a quick finish of war. Of THEIR war. Yes, another part of Ukraine began to feel what is a real war. It is bad, of course. But that abscess should breakthrough in some time, and it has been brokenthrough. With less deaths to LDNR, with more deaths to another part.
No time, but I will browse through it. I know it's putinist propaganda, but it's useful to understand how some of the Russians feel. Let me be clear about Ukrainian govt shelling in 2014-2015 in Donetsk: those are inexcusable. Even if Putin started everything and if the separatists were a bunch of gangsters. You think we're blind, that we ignore that, but it's not true. You are maybe jealous of all the attention Ukrainians are getting now, while Russian ethnics didn't get so much attention. But they did. When Ukrainian army bombed civilians or when battalions like Aidar commited crimes, it was the United Nations that put pressure on Ukr govt to stop these. Then the volunteer battalions were put under strict control of the ukr army. This is how things are solved, not through invasion of another country. None of this crimes can justify what Putin is doing now. And he doesn't care. He only wants to convince you, the regular Russians, that you are in danger, because people like you were killed by Ukrainian forces in 2014-2015 (during another invasion by him). So he's invading Ukraine again now, killing ethnic Russians and Ukrainians alike, all citizens of Ukraine. Not only the Ukrainian speakers dislike him, Russian Ukrainians too, they are against this invasion. So low is the image of this action, that Ukrainians call the Russian soldiers "orcs". I can't think of anything lower than that. Now, nationalism in Ukraine is not even that strong as in other eastern countries. They have the lowest representation of far right in Parliament. In Romania for example, we have a party that's posing as extremist nationalist, but is financed with Russian money. Why? Because Putin needs enemies outside Russia, so he can "protect" the Russians. This is a horrible manipulation, that doesn't reach you as news. Putin's interest even disrupted Covid response in many countries. Trump and Boris Johnson, Merkel too, got manipulated by Putin. The damage he's done to the World is that huge (combined with the natural greedy tendency of world's politicians). About Bandera, yes, it's horrible that they have given him the hero status in 2010 (fortunately annuled in 2011). But it's only the wild thinking of people in weird situations. Read below. Someone here called the situation in Ukraine in the 90's anarchy and that it was horrible. It was the same in many other countries after the old order was broken, we have lived it all over in Eastern Europe. Scientists call this anomie (from greek a-nomos, without norms). After sudden political changes, people find themselves not knowing what the new social norms are anymore, so start doing all kinds of crazy shit. The social life degrades and people start feeling kind of lost. Societies start to look for new values, because they need an anchor. Many times they turn towards the past, that they reinterpret. That's how historic figures became national heroes in many Eastern countries, even if they were murderers. You know Vlad the Impaler, right? He was a murderous monster who ordered people to be impaled. But he's liked by contemporary Romanians because he was tough on punishing stealing. They only like him because their current problem is social injustice, and don't really care about the crimes of the real historical person. This thing happened in all the Eastern countries, Ukraine and Russia included. And Putin is playing with this czar image, father of the people (even if a tough one). Because people need an anchor. Luckily with the Ukrainians, their political class was responsible enough to annul Bandera's hero status in 2011, then to refuse the hero status again in 2019. These are good signs: even if there are monstrous ideas around them, people are resisting.
That time will come one day you'll see When we can all be friends That time will come one day you'll see When we can all be friends That time will come one day you'll see When we can all be friends That time will come one day you'll see When we can all be friends
And UK accepted 2 thousand to date (we did accept 2 millions). What should I say? Fuck them. Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark - they're accepting "our" refugees. Even Spain and Portugal do. U.S. is due to accept some 50 thousand, ora more, so will Canada. We can accept some more, if the Ukrainians will become more willing to relocate further west. As for now the accommodation options here are running short, but most of the Ukrainians want to stay here. You can get to the Ukrainian border in one hour in a passenger car, in less than two hours on a bus or train, from where I live. That makes them prefer to stay here. My daughter already has 6 Ukrainian classmates in school (her class was highly unpopular due to its mathematical profile, so now Ukrainian kids constitute more that 1/5th of it) and begins to make friends with one of the girls. The fact that you're prejudiced and racist doesn't necessarily make us so. Our govt. is (hence all these events on the Polish-Belarusian border, which should never have taken place), but the vast majority of Poles is not. [edit: some errant sentence from my saved, but never published reply removed /edit]
you are totally wrong on this. you place words without knowledge of their meaning! racist - means "to hate some other race" - which race/nationality do we hate do you think? glad to hear this from you
Rgreat, there are dickheads in any society. In most countries, the instigation to hatred and messages like this are punishable by law. Probably in Ukraine too. These things must be eradicated, but not by any means. In our times you don't cut someone's hand just because he stole something.
And after all this cheering on demand, they'll end up into soup. Just like the relationship between Putin and the people.
"Probably"????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! We told it you ALL the TIME! NO! In Ukraine - it's a nazist government! THEY ALLOW SUCH MFUCKERS to show their muzzles on TV! that govt needs to be replaced! Western govts sham they do not see that nazism in Ukraine and Ukraine govt. for the last 8 years Russia (plus independent ukrainian journalist Sharii) told and showed a lot of examples of crimes of Banderlog govt in Kiev.
It's not (only) the govt that should act on this, but mainly the justice system. Nevertheless, the invasion is not a solution to that and it wasn't intended as such. In fact we've heard two main motives for this invasion: 1. NATO and EU integration, 2. russophobia and nazism Hear this: the simplest way to stop xenophobic messages is to let Ukraine join NATO and EU. EU monitors every of its members on all sorts of topics, including hate speech and human rights. Now, we know the real reason is Putin's fear of losing power, mainly inside Russia. That his opponents (not Navalniy, but Putin's own friends) will see him as weak and will try to steal his place.
1. expansion, not integration. There is NO FEAR if Malta or Marocco joined NATO. 2. russophobia and nazism are the consequences of banderlog's govt overthrown in 2014 in Kiev. due to p.1 (fear of expansion) - it is not the way we go. Tell us something more solid to expel our fears on NATO expansions, not the "Poland just wanted to join" - that explanations are for children. you are wrong why? look documentary "Putin" by Kondrashov Putin speaks VERY TRUELY and his words and thoughts (concerning external politics - foreign affairs) are very close to thoughts of citizens of Russia. Putin will loose his power ONLY if he'll tell/do something dumb you are wrong Putin ALREADY was NOT a president, and official power was under Medvedev - and power returned to Putin. why? because Putin is a TRUE leader. if "own friends wanted to steal place" - they already would shot him. So you are TOTALLY wrong.
Putin a true leader! Someone's got a true sense of humor. But, as they say - all roads lead to Hague today.
