I've posted this issue some time ago. IMHO R4Ms needs some adjustments. Check when it's fired, it goes down, not like others ones that goes almost straight. A link bellow show that it has been set to 8° upward.

Here are more info about air rockets:

    Nice pictures.

Include Pierre Clostermann info and has more interesting links.

    http://www.stormbirds.net/tech_r4m_rocket.htm (with pictures)
"The launchers were aimed with a slight upward angle of 8 degrees. When the rockets were fired from a range of 600 meters, they had the same ballistics as the Mk 108 cannons. The warhead was a 55 mm HE shell filled with Hexogen. A single hit was all that was needed to bring down a four engined bomber."

R4Ms are going down. Just go to TA type alt+V, adjust view to beside plane and fire. You can compare the diferent release angle of all rockets in different planes. For exemple in Fw190F8 R4Ms shuld go 8° up not ±15° down as can be showed.

8º up? So it would overpass pilot's altitude if fired in a straight flight? weird...

or type correctly. Fly 8º up is different than fire them 8º upwards from the sight.
