hi all ! i'd like to compare how many cost an appartment to rent in ur towns, start about one standard base of 50m². toulouse : 500 euro paris : 750 or more this question is specialy adressed to EU ppl , other are welcome then
I'm an owner and I rent two apartments. Both near Katowice (20km), Upper Silesia, Poland 1st apartment 50m2 - 150Euro w/o media 2nd apartment - about 70m2 - 200Euro w/o media Sid
50 square meters? Hmmm. okay. fuck, how many square feet is that? [I still can't 'do' square meters, I gotta do square feet in my head] Okay, next. What the fuck is a Euro and does it relate to my money? I mean, if a Euro is 35 cents canadian, but three day's wages for a truck driver living in toulouse, fuck. What does all this mean? My brain hurts. Wait. 1500 square foot suite about 700 Bucks [Canadian]. How much is 700 bucks? Errrmmmmmm. 460 Euros. In the larger city, not far from the smaller city I live in it would cost about 900 Euros for a 1500 square foot suite. The money isn't a problem to get. Around here, if you don't want to live in the forest, you have to pay the money. The hardest thing about finding a place to rent around here is the anal probe to 'make sure you aren't one of Them.'
Here in Rio it depends on the "district's level" (f.ex., if the appartment is near the beach with garage and view you'll pay a higher price). A small apt. (~60m²) ranges from 220-550 Euros, without taxes.
58,9sq m 3629SEK about 390EUR. Water included, heated, but the electricity adds to this. This apt I used to live in some 10 yrs ago, no real kitchen, the stove usw is in the end of living room. small bedroom, small wc+showercorner. VERY basic, but enough for batchelor life
Honestly I don't know what rent cost around here -- I own a home, and have not had to make any payments in over 16 years. Back then I paid around $350 a month IIRC; (this was before the Euro was created), so figure 1991 exchange rate of $1/1.40 against the pound (Since Norman Lamont (UK's Chancellor of the Exchequer) decided to take the pound out of the ERM, devaluating the rates.) House, 1066.8m2 Land, 4047m2 Water, Gas, Electric, Sewage, Central Air/Heating, and a Fireplace if I feel like it. 2 work shops, and a lot of anything else i need; [damn capitalist pig.]
You gotta be kidding. Did you put one extra decimal place in that number? That place is as big as a fuckin hockey arena. Okay, not quite, but you claim your HOUSE is 33 meters x 33 meters if only one floor. that means, for People Who Use Feet and Inches: 11,483 SQUARE FEET [edited] Wait. I gotta go calm down [THIS is 11,000 square feet , so is this] Hockey in North America is played on a surface of 18000 square feet. So, take something 2/3 of that. Thta is how big 11000 square feet is. Pretty big, eh? hehe.
Damn. You prolly can burn a forest in it? (seriously though, here the usual size for "a house" is about 150-300m2's. So how many finnish buildings has your house eaten?)
Brandenburg/germany my old 44 m2 ( +100 m2 attic + 15 m2 cellar ) ~ 250 Euro + water/heating/electricity
********** rudeboy, don't get the wrong impression, I inherited this house, didn't buy it new. I grew up in it, but moved away years ago and lived up north for a long time before joining the army; and living everywhere else on the planet. Now I am back as of Dec 06, and working hard at fixing everything up. Still working on the yard -- a lot of landscaping to accomplish. Worked on it until around 4am this morning with a portable flood light shining. Figure I still have another year or so to go with just that project. Sometime soon I have to rent a Catipillar to do some levelling work. Immediate future plans for networking the entire place, with a current re-modelling project taking place on most of the south-western side, along with other misc work on other sections inside; ad infitium. Do it yourself is a lot of work. ********** Fireplace will take 5-6 logs (depending on size of logs). Used it once in January.
