    This is called arena settings.
Ack is given too short a range to be truely effective against vulchers.
Dar has a given ceiling placed on it, which allows this behavior as well.

    Solution?
Keep dar min but loose dar max.
    Set 80s, 40s, 25s, 20s, 12s to their realistic ranges.
(that would = Mr. buff & vulch at 6km would still catch ack)

Damn that might require actual planning and skill to overcome. :zachot:

    I agree Franz.
They suckers that vulch planes landing/ditching are frustated pilots usually not able to get kills in a decent dogfighting.
Frustated to not be able to close/cap fields or sinking cv and vulching for nothing just to avoid the land/ditching plane to get his points/medals.

I generally (try to) vulch everything I see and although I sometimes get slightly pissed when I end up getting vulched myself, I don't go and scream bloody murder because of it. The only things I really dislike are

    * killing heavily damaged planes that weren't actually damaged by YOU
    * vulching planes that have ALREADY landed

I admit that I have occasionally broken my own rules in so far as killing damaged planes is concerned.

I am a strong believer that at any time you may kill or be killed. On many occasions I have been vulched on takeoff or landing, and I have also myself vulched somebody doing the same. While air combat is more chivalrous than land/sea warfare, it is still kill or be killed. Vulching is one of those things that really makes you maintain your situational awareness. Yeah, it sucks when you have been bounced by that bandit you never saw 5000ft above you in the sun, but then life in a warzone wasn't meant to be all beer and skittles.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you don't want to be shot down, go play solitaire.

The difference between dogfighting and "vulching", is that for dogfighting you need to have skilled hand on the stick :joystick:, and vulching is just using your brains to score. :UU:

I think everyone is missing the main argument when it comes to the other games. Those games are pay for play... When you get vulched a lot then you get pissed because your seeing dollars being wasted for someone elses enjoyment. Here on FH, since its free, the complaints are more on the whining side rather than the hitting the pocketbook side.

Since it is free. I have no problems with vulchers, yes its annoying, especially when there maybe few fields open. But Ohwell... its free. And it is a legitimate tactic. For those that mentioned ack ranges.... Try Tabahost. Ack in TH is deadly, a vulcher might get one plane but rarely two.
