Can we igonre certain user in here like we can i arena.

It will be exelent if we could have
"Ignore the user" feature
here in forum that will work same way like in arena.
In other words If you click on check mark (provided by forum developer) of the certain forumer's (thread poster) nick name you will not any more see any of his posts. Yeah all of his posts will be omited at the time when they are pulled out from databases.
Sometihng like:
SELECT * from certaintable WHERE ( blah, blah, blah ) AND ignoreposter <> "his_nick";

I am sure that is not to hard to implement in to query string statement that will activate if you put check mark beside ignoreposter user's nick name.

Why I am requesting this?,
Well I am really fed up with some of "not tasteful and disgusting" posts in our comunity.

As it seems no one is following the rules of the Forum, not even the admins, with regards to offensive language, flaming, insulting etc., the only recourse I have found is to go to the CP - control panel when you log-on and down near the bottom there is an "ignore member" feature.

Until certain members are banned setting-up an ignore list make visiting the Forum a far more pleasurable experience now.

I suppose untill those rules are enforced more people will pay less attention and frequent thus forum less and less until this place becomes a haven for only foul mouthed flamers and sociopaths....

 

But certain members were "banned" awhile ago. So the forum is moderated.

I haven't seen any peculiar "offensive language, flaming, insulting etc" that haven't been here for years now.

My suggestion is that anyone who feels like it uses the "ignore" function and loosens up a bit. This is just a Internet forum and it's not supposed to take very seriously...

I am not sure what exactly "Ignoreuser" from user's CP doing but it doesn't work. Just out of my curiousity I tried to add "RolandGarros" and I got message
The user '$username' was not found in the database. Please go back and correct this problem. You may want to check out the member list.

well airfax, not that long ago one of our members was posting explicite pictures taken by nazzy in conclagers displaying mutilated bodies. Also he was suporting such animal behavior. Just to mention that member is still among us freely distributing his "redneck" tvisted thoughts and opinions.
There are some other users that from time to time use this forum to heel their low minded complexes, I am sure everyone knows who they are.
If you feel like you are ok with reading their dayli posts go ahead, that is perfectly ok with me. But, what I would like to have here is check box beside the user's avatar or nick name so I can put check mark there what will work on the way that when ever I open forum all of his posts will be invisible === ignored. Or if somebody else created new thread and if he made reply all of his replys will be invisible for me since I put check mark beside his avatar or nickname.
That much of freedom of not having to look at certain reply is something that should be afordable to us that just wat to have some fun here.

there are some minor problems with forum database, Archer said, so ignore function does not work stable. there are two or three methods to add a dude to ignore list, some of them working sometimes.
