Welcome to the space age! it all works. some guys still leaf through those manuals, still punch perfocards and talk to each other 'make a JMP command to A0F0', still exchange the circuit plates when some of the rack burns. thats how you fix a telescope round here - . Sigh... Thats why I came back.

no, i am not astronomer, just visiting a friend but the atmosphere is very special it is not only the observatories, it is the same with the streets of every city it is a fleeting moment though. either they will close it when the meagre budget totally dries up, or they will get money from EU and modernise it. [make it the same as everywhere else in Europe] I'm thinking about Beirut or Damascus.
