I have bought LG CDRW+DVD... I have bought LG 17" Flatron... Guess what 2 parts of my computer set are broken?
I have got a 17'' LG Flatron I do have a CDRW by LG and a separate DVD drive... Guess which pats of my computer have not been broken when the lightning struck our LAN? mainboard- nope CPU- nope GFX Card- nope RAM modules- nope ... LG components did survive though Bad luck I guess... I got a 8 year old 15'' LG Monitor back on the other PC... still OK, although frequently used
If broken means not working, then you're lost in space. If broken means the CDRW works crap, check if there's a firmware update. My Lg CDWR started to burn cheap CD-RW only after new firmware. LG seems to sell more then other brands, more pieces more problems. Same as for Maxtor hard drives... Flatron are not Flatron anymore. CRT technology is like a He177 with an I15 6 o'clock d0.2: he's gonna die, slow and painfully. No more care for quality. Sadly, ther's no more gain to produce CRT, much more money with LCD. S**t, it's hard to find a decent CRT even if you're ready to throw loads of money for it! LaCie ElectronBlue 19" are not ElectronBlue them too, only 21" is good and it won't last for long! Truth is we need a new client for this game to deal with LCD... (Pessimism&Annoyance)
To be honest, I'm perfectly happy with my CRT->LCD step... Actually, it's more like a leap. Then again, I bought a good LCD to make sure I wasn't disappointed Runs media perfectly fine, as good as any CRT can IMO <Z>
I'm an happy LCDer too, I'd never go back to CRT even if it cames in bundle with a crate of Westvleteren 12! Anyway a downsample from 1280x1024 to 1024x768 on LCD isn't perfect to intercept those little tiny dots that try to snake unseen flying at 10 fts on Warbirds 2.77
I will wait a bit with change, my Flatron being in over half of guarantee period now (it has 1,5 years->bought in fall 2003) I can still break it and get a new one back As for LG producing too much crap-> I strongly agree, one can buy almost all kinds of shit of this brand... saw even Vacuum Cleaners from LG %) BTW- what I'm saying is not that LG is a superb brand... got one LAN Card from this brand some time ago and it sucked hard... but I'm lucky with my drives and CRT supplied by them. BTW2- never a LCD for me... will buy a 21'' CRT after I get bored with the 17''
User, mouse and joystick ok. Monitor and CD not working. I lied, user isn't ok, he don't play WB enough.
My GF bought a new vacuum cleaner.. LG. It sounds like the destruction of jerusalem, and sucks worse than an intoxicated butterfly. We have a microwave oven, 6 yrs old ... LG. Never had a problEm with that. So ...
