Yerba mate is a plant that drunk in infussion (sp?) is stronger than tea but smoother than coffee, speaking in terms of taste and stimulant properties . Also it make you pee a lot It's the typical infussion in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, south brasilians does drink it too, but they have a smoother variant of the same plant. the point is - it tastes better than tea, gives u more energy than coffe and is much more healthy than both of them (coffe and tea)... some scientists think that it's most healthy drink on earth done by nature... (because it is... for example - gauchos were drinking only yerba mate and eating meat and they were very healthy it has nearly all vitamins/pro-vitamins in it... also amino-acids... etc... it has tonizing effects on drinker (makes his body live with harmony, regulates nearly everything to lvl it should be) it helps overweighted ppl as after yerba u just don't need to eat that much... my friend was in argentina once adn he told me discussion with his argentinian friend: A - argentinian P - my polish friend A: i can't live without coffe, gotta drink 1 every morning. P: i know this feeling - first thing i do after getting up is to start making a coffe... A: NAH! first thing i do is to drink MATE... for a cup of coffe i have time after breakfast...! ---- so as u see... there are some clever ppl who drink coffe only for taste and yerba mate for energy and health. live healthy, drink mate !
