he know that Mach1, small joke couple times we play "Hunt Yamamoto" scenario, and as i remember pedzel get him last time ramzey
[cry mode on] no, we do that on 1 Polish FH, long time ago.[cry mode off] Lot of ready to play scenarios have stec. ramzey
he knows it, Ram Some of these scenarios were prepared especially for FH with awareness for it's bugs so they were 100% ready for instant playing. After about a month of vigorous *cough* discussion on scen mailing board the thing died natural death. Pity.
actually i sent an email lately, trying to revive, but got no replies. maybe people stopped reading it?
Hi Nicae, >actually i sent an email lately, trying to revive, but got no replies. maybe people stopped reading it? Maybe you should just start another private forum here? Regards, Henning (HoHun)
P38 its not a plane. Send me e-mail if u wanna talk about useless planes. Let me give u piece of advice: forget about Corsi, and fuck this P38. Basic rule : if u wanna to choose between those 2 craps then p38 is much better than corsi!
The F4U is definitely one of the best planes Red has. Its only real equal is the P-51D, and I still find myself preferring the Corsair for its greater ammunition load. For a short time before the F4U-4 comes out, the -1D has a narrow margin of superiority, just as the 190A4 is a bit outdated by that time , but all other times the Corsair is a very capable aircraft. It is very much like a Red 190, and should be used the same way. And one of the best parts about the F4U is that the enemy consistently underestimates your capability in it. I've bagged more than a few enemies who see the Corsair as an easy kill and overextend themselves.
Hi Mekh, >The F4U is definitely one of the best planes Red has. Its only real equal is the P-51D, and I still find myself preferring the Corsair for its greater ammunition load. I'm feel ambivalent about it - I don't like the F4U around if I'm flying Focke-Wulf, as these are fast enough to catch me, and much harder to shake than the Typhoon if they catch me. However, if I'm flying for Red, I very much prefer the P-51B over the F4U-1D due to its much greater top speed as well as due to its better rear visibility. In the F4U-1D, the unfortunate combination of poor rear view and narrow margin of top speed over the Focke-Wulf simply drives me paranoid (And it gets worse once the Ki-84 is out.) The F4U-4 would be better, except that it faces the Fw 190D-9 which is even faster so the situation doesn't improve at all. Regards, Henning (HoHun)
Yeah, the -1D has a bit of a problem in 1944, as its speed advantage over most enemy aircraft is, by that time, very slim indeed. The rear visibility isn't a factor to me though. I never really look at the rear view in any plane, and IMO all of them should have rather crappy visibility (considering you're strapped in an dall). Keeping a good mental picture of the fight, and keeping your speed up, means you don't really need to look behind you. I spend much more time looking out of the sides or 45-rear-up. The P-51B is indeed faster, but it also has a lot less bite, and a much more fragile engine...I find the Corsair is, except for that 1944 period, quite fast enough anyway.
