    X-Plane models flight really cool.
I canèt get over this. I wonder how the planes compare with real when done right

    No music, sorry

The Boomerang has some guns, but the weaponry isn't modeled like would be if this were a combat sim. The weaponry is rudimentary.
What I use the sim for is flying the planes - with excellent flight models - and finding how to get from A to B, with excellent navigational aids.
Uh, the Boomerang had the same wings - airfoil type NA something something as the P-51 and the Harvard trainer. High speed airfoils.... It had the Bristol radials that the Beaufort had. A later model had some Wright radial engines and I think they fitted some PW radials too. I shoved a PW 1800 in it, so I could have a latter and cooler model.
Aussies said that when a jap plane came down to play with a boomerang, the boomerang could hold its own easily, could do everything the zeke could except hi altitude work. Aussies loved those little planes, and, the were very little.

Finns loved then and still do, like the Spitfire is remembered by the British...
    They had amazing success.
A lot of it had to do with the superb warriors who crewed them. I cannot recall the scores needed, but there was a certain percentage of hits against towed targets needed to qualify as a fighter pilot and the percentage was very high, some crazy number that would be considered unreachable in other air forces.....
SO fins had to be able to shoot. And fly, I guess, eh?
I read about one of their aces who would attack not a Soviet plane, but one of it's engines. Shoot the engine a few times and knock the enemy plane down, like ..... Imagine a little air force manned by men like that?

Boomerang doing a suicide landing. I mean, if you did that sort of thing in real life, you wouldn't be flying afterwards.
