There are some, but proportionally not too many and they are being rounded up very quickly. So far about 3000-4000 have been detained already. Many people just have not yet realized what just happened and the consequences that will follow. Some are just too frightened to try and do something. But even later on the protests won't do us much good - in the last few years Putin established a rather extensive "RusGuard" service and armed it for crowd control, so he is probably well prepared for any civil unrest.

Your Russia is existing (and always existed) in your head only.
Great country always on good side.
If you are perfect, then there is nothing left to improve.

Your neck is much deeper than your hands,
Your eyes are much stiffer than your neck,
Your feet are much lighter than your eyes.

    What are you?

Война в Донбассе = Первая чеченская война ?

Someone should attack Russia and save Chechens in 1994?

If I understand this hypocrisy correctly, only Russia can save separatists who want independence?

thanks for that Dornil, hard to even image
it takes real bravery to be the first to make a stand and oppose

still, im guessing that indoctrinated people all the blame will give to the bad europe and of course us
i wonder if they even realize putin had all the cards in his hand and played the worst
he had all the main eu countries in his pocket and fucked up everything just because some of the deals would be renegotiated..
i wonder if he realizes he built a national pride in ukrainians and recognition of this pride in the western world.
and if he realizes he lost. question is only how many more will die and how far he is willing to go.

btw, i dont know the language, but here's some cheering people of Beredinsk welcoming their proud liberators
    https:// streamable . com/ skxa4f
i guess this was very touching moment, judging how liberators are hiding their faces with their hands

No! it is not like Federals-Chechens war!
It is very-very like Serbia-Kosovo-NATO conflict:
1999: Serbia wanted to return control on Kosovo, NATO attacked Serbia to stop Serbia's attack on Kosovo.
2022: Ukraine wanted to return control on Donbass, Russia attacked Ukraine to stop Ukraine's attack on Donbass (and change government). (ed: thank you, jfm, for correction)
    is it clear enough?

But note, that NO ONE EU or US countries declared sanctions on themselves for aggression on European country without UN permission.

Just imagine that Ukraina attack Russia in 1994-96 to stop Russian attack on Chechnya.

thank you for correction on Kosovo->Donbass

If Russia was weak enough, i think not only Ukraine, but in first rows the USA troops were already delpoyed in Georgia and sent to Chechnya from south to "defence" it.
There was a huge pressure on Yeltsyn from Clinton and "west" to stop war and give Chechnya full independence.
2-3 years of bad activity, then in 1999 when Putin come into power - Federal forces became much better.

Also, did you know, that Ukraine's mercenaries took part in both Chechen wars? And after they returned to their homes - there were NO punishments to them (inspite law articles existed on their activities).

Also, did you know that Ukraine ALREADY made aggression to Russia, when it officially sent (sold) weaponry and attached personnel to Georgia to fight against Russia's Air Forces in 2008 war ?

    Good news everybody.
FIFA kicked fascism out of football.
Royal Dutch (Shell) is going to sell its share in Rosnieft and just dropped its contract with Gazprom.
Sweden replied to Russian threats as well:
