I know there are different variants of T-72, many of them equipped with reactive armor, or even with active protection systems.
But underneath is the same, old composite armor dating back (the design) to late 1950s.

Still - they are all prone to total destruction in the result of ammo storage detonation - something no other Gen. II/III tanks are likely to experience.

That's the cost of reduced crew and lower silhouette it seems.

It deosn't matter, 1 dead and 70 in hospital is not something which will change the tide of war and now it is not possible to make fact-check.

    Drinking a bear?
I don't know what you're smoking, but judging by this, and other replies it must be good, don't change your dealer.

Peskov admitted that Russia has lost a "significant" number of soldiers (although they still give a very low number, about 1300).
It's interpreted as paving the way for mobilisation.

I wonder if any of the Russian guys here would volunteer tho.
Starting the nose count, come on.
Don't worry if you feel a bit of shit coming out your end, that's even more patriotic.

Even Serbia voted for the suspension of Russia from the UN Human Rights Council.

If / when that happens I'm sure that'll give you great satisfaction ... for all of the 20 minutes that you'll have left before Russia (and most of the world along with it) ceases to exist as a nation. In a world where both sides' nuclear arsenals can wipe the other side clean out, threatening to nuke a city seems a bit silly.

I don't understand how you could possibly feel that that utterly asinine response was a worthwhile remark.

My "old man" American position: I don't want any US-manufactured weapons sent to this war in the Ukraine (or "special operation," as the Russians officially say). Perhaps I'm a monster, a savage or something worse. It's probable. It's true! See my profile image? My grandfather sitting in a trench in Ukraine during WW1, playing cards, while Germany was fighting against Russia. He told me terrible stories.

I've had a bit too much Japanese sake tonight, but one lesson I learned from my ancestors was this: do not dehumanize your enemy/opponent. We are all human. We can't let our emotions and primitive feelings lead us to... bad things.

There will be no real winners from this current war, but we need to try and maintain our human dignity and aspirations.
