    Ok guys,

I have been playing around with 3D modelling, and my first attempt is shown here. It is rather crude, with none of the artwork or cockpit detail, as I haven't worked out how to do that yet.

What I would like to know is can anybody identify what aircraft it is supposed to be?

    Regards, Oz

Post a pic of the plane, so we can compare and make some critics.

Ok...I must not have done too bad then......yes, it is supposed to be a boomerang.

No need.....I can criticise it enough for all of you.

It has many problems, but the bit I am least happy with is the fuse front/wing mount area.

    regards, Oz

Both flying versions are in my local town, and the on eshown above is owned by Lynne Zuccoli, wife of the lat Guido Zuccoli, who was a mad keen warbirds collector.

Some of his collection can be seen HERE

Just a few coments, maybe I'm wrong since it's not easy to compare from diferent angles.
1- The wing junction with the fuselage, it seems a little to steep in the model.
2- The blades seem a little more round in the pics than in the model.
3- The fuselage seems a little too thin.

But it's GREAT work anyway. KEEP IT UP! :kruto:

Yes, very nice. It looks like tailwheel is not retractable. Should that be in the model? I've been wanting to planes from smaller airforces in sims for a long time. I hope this is a start. All sorts of interesting and potentially quite competetive birds out there: D.520, MB 15x, Rozarski IK-3, IAR 80, SAAB J.21...

I've been playing around with 3D modelling in paint, this is the early stage of my new WB aircraft project and it's rather crude.

    Could anyone identify the plane?

gmax is free to download from http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/ , but it requires a name & email address.....otherwise try P2P.
