    Salute sirs!

This is the 3rd time I try to write in this forum...I hope it will work now.

Yesterday I had the great honour and pleasure to fly with I./JG54 as illo´s wingman....but...first of all something about me:

My Name is Markus (age 32) and I am from Aspern (Vienna/Austria).
In RL I fly Ultralights and planes with 2000kg max. take-off-weight (some pics of my todays flight with my brother will be on my HP in few hours - we have been flying my own Comco Ikarus C22...a real UGLY plane ;-)) but I love it).

Since Feb. or March 2002 I am playing WB as member of the Black Knights (8 months I had the nick "tyrson" but I lost my code and so I am in WB with my new nick "oe-aua").

For me JG 54 is something special....not only the WB-Squad.

In VL it is something special, because of the 1-life-modus.
Be sure, yesterday I had more adrenalin in my body as hair on my head ;-)
Flying with only ONE life is really ADRENALIN PUR for me and I enjoyed this flight side by side pilots of JG GrünHerz.

In RL JG54 is a part of my heart.
I told you, that I am from Aspern - you remember "Löwe von Aspern", the II./JG54 ?
On 21. and 22.5.1809 Napoleon has been beaten by Erzherzog Karl...the Löwe von Aspern (Lion from Aspern) was born.

For a long time my grandfather (in WWII "Bordfotograf", then for a few months pilot and 1942-45 paratrooper) was chief of the museum in Aspern and so I had a lot of time to spend with the history of Aspern.

In 1974 my father learnt to fly - in Aspern - and so I had my first flight in Aspern too (age - 3 years).

Years later I wanted to know more about our history and about austrian pilots....so I "found" the II./JG54 "Löwe von Aspern" and Maj.Walter Nowotny.
I visited him on the "Wiener Zentralfriedhof" near the "Presidentengruft" and payed respect.

Last time I visited him on the "Zentralfriedhof", I recognised, that his 2 candleholder with the iron crosses have been removed from his tomb - I think they did it because of the crosses...I asked the responsible man but I got no answer till today.

    -----------------

enough....I think it is boring for you....

    -----------------

All I wanted to tell you is ->

I would like to join JG54!

    My nickname would be "aspern".

    -----------------

    SALUTE SIRS!

    Willkommen Markus! :D

It's not much of a squad yet and we will see what it developes into. If all goes well we get our website and statistics working someday. :shuffle: Until that flying can be bit chaotic since it's hard to organize much from here. (ie. familiarize all with same wingman tactics and so on)

Maybe we (or you) can find some german speaking wingmen for you. :)

I though it would be best if everyone used RW (or is there some better voice comm. apps?) with his wingman if possible. So inside Rotte all communication would be fast. This would also keep voice comms very simple.

What do you others think about it?

    *drooooolssss*

it would be great to have a page, where we input our debriefs. the form would have these fields:
    date:
    planes:
    description:
    pilot 1: <name>
    pilot 1 claims: <kills> <assists>
pilot 1 result: ()landed ()ditched ()bailed ()captured ()killed
    pilot 2:
    ...

and then at least another pilot would have to open the page and confirm the debrief. :)
