We worked that over and over again.

First of all - that slaughter was far from unprovoked.
Poland has first betrayed Petlura, by signing a separatist peace with USSR, which meant that (contrary to what Piłsudski has promised the Ukrainians) there would be no independent Ukraine.
Of course we were at the verge of bankruptcy, and could not afford this war any longer, but that was a poor excuse in the eyes of the Ukrainians.

Secondly - Poland's interwar policy in relation to Ukrainians. Ukrainians were free citizens, exercising exactly the same rights Poles enjoyed in the Second Republic. That is what they even teach our children at schools today, but that's only partially the truth. Ukrainians were free (I mean political freedom, freedom of association, freedom of religion, freedom to receive education in Ukrainian, etc.) only in the southern part of eastern Poland. In Volhynia and Podolia the regulations were different. Ukrainian political movements and activists were prosecuted. The Orthodox churches were demolished by the Polish army. Ukrainians were "second class citizens" working in the farms of the richest of the Polish land gentry. And their lands were infested with Polish colonists.

Yes my friend, Podolia and Volhynia were the voivodeships where our own state exercised sort of Bismarck's "Kulturkampf" of its own.
The whole region was boiling for over 20 years... until it erupted in manslaughter and ethnic cleansing.

    But was that ethnic cleansing?
Most of those people were living there for less than 2 decades.

It's quite telling (actually disturbing) how you making justification for massacre of civilians, just to fit into current political agenda. And what's more disturbing is that it's supposedly of your people, who felt civilian (sic!) victims of war crimes of ukrainean nazis, and yet you dare to justify that.
And for that "for less than 2 decades" argument - I dare you to try use the same argument for justification of assault on some settlements in middle east. It would've made a really good story. Too bad it won't. Because you're sick enough to justify atrocities of ukrainean nazis against your own people, but unfortunately not brave enough to not be a cheap hypocrite.

Just get that reasoning to the 2023 level.
There are no longer Polish "lords" oppressing Ukrainians.
There are no longer Ukrainians seeking revenge on their Polish masters.
We've long since settled that between ourselves.

And you fuckers are killing Ukrainian children, Ukrainian women, Ukrainian elderly by the dozen, every night since Feb 24 2022 and you FUCKERS call me not brave enough and a cheap hypocrite?
    You're sick NAZIS.

Just ask anyone in Poland if they have anything against Ukrainians - the most you will ever hear will be "their strange parking habits", or "they tend to be loud in public places". But not a single reference to something that happened 80 years ago and is now history. We've learned to forget and were forgotten. That's something you dumbasses fail to understand here.
As a nation we're at the "'Let bygones be bygones" stage with the Ukrainian nation.
We're on collision course with Russian nazis though.

Yes, you're cheap hypocrite, because you justifying atrocities towards civilians made during WWII by ukrainean nazis. The same nazis who took power by coup in 2014. With the same methods of dealing with dissenting - torture, killings and terror. And the fact that your political 'elites' just happened to be on the same short leash of the same master as current ukrainean nazi regime doesn't change much factually.
It's changing only amount of bent your perception is taking to justify intended atrocities towards civilians while at the same time screaming 'bloody hell' sucking kiev's propaganda, which fakes so-called 'war crimes' and portrays collateral civilian victims as 'intended targets'.
