    who's Nicaee?

Would you be talking about some old ex pilot who used to hang around the arena claiming he was an ace?

    ;)

    Fla's still around though :)

You ppl of small faith ;) playing as red still forget the existance of Tempest V on FH arena:)
It turns like s..., but climbs better than E.Hillary ever did and doesn't disintegrate, when fying over 400mph.
Don't forget 4x20mm with lots of ammo onboard - it's really funny thing to have 12-16 of them in one ping (especially if you are in Zeke or Ki). Stop cursing and swearing reds pls,i flew last ToD as gold, this ToD as red and i really can't see much difference in level of planes of both sides (except Yak3, but i wont concentrate on this topic now).

Frog...our great tempest, which is only a mere shadow of the real Tempest?

Hah, you are right, it is good and very potent plane even now, in its totally porked state. If it will be corrected, then prepare for some serious gold whines.

Manoce: It's generaly good idea to kill someone who doesn't know about you and his guns are pointing the other way. At least he isn't going to yell at you "f*king warper" and other friendly compliments.

Roll rate of Tempest is good enough. It isn't as good as real one, but then 190 also isn't as good as in RL.

Don't know where you are flying, but I can't get it to 400 kph, let alone 400 mph. Shadow of it's real self?........wouldn't even rate as a shadow of it real life shadow.

    hi ozemale,

i reached, after upping with 50% fuel and reaching 3.050m (10.000ft ?) with some 35% left, 602kmh (375mph) in tempest.
in a following 0g-dive with wep the plane started shaking at 744kmh (460mph)and reached 835kmh (518mph) with good recovery (reached sea-level :) )

    where? in trainings-arena between f15 and north-east f2...

Its only as 'porked' as the 190 is in certain ways. Though im glad you highlighted that point ;)

Glas: AFAIK Fw190 isn't 20-30mph slower than RL version at most altitudes :)

WHY ? ....A slow plane going faster dosen't make up for a fast plane going slower .... lets take 30mph off the 109 and add it to the ju52 .(This an extreem used to highlite my point ...I do not sugest we do this)...

You do Realise adding 30mph to a Ju52 means it'll outrun pedestrians.....

    You've asked for it :D

I did some tests this morning in TA, for the Typhoon.
Method was standart, dive to the altitude, then turn WEP on and slow down to the sustained speed.

Real data are from british test of Typhoon, Illo's chart. Speeds in that chart are slowest compared to the other sources.

    Code:
    Results:
    Typhoon Ib

    Alt	RL	FH	Difference
    0	342	348	6
    2000	349	355	6
    4000	357	361	4
    6000	366	360	-6
    8000	373	363	-10
    8750	376	365	-11
    10000	374	369	-5
    12000	373	375	2
    14000	370	380	10
    16000	373	384	11
    18000	383	389	6
    20000	392	390	-2
    22000	391	390	-1
    24000	385	391	6
    26000	370	388	18

FH Typhoon has very different, almost linear power curve, not comparable to the RL one with two-stage supercharger.
Fw190A has similar shaped power curve as RL Typhoon, and it is also in the game, so there is no reason for Tiffie to have some abstract performance. I believe that FH Tiffie's linear power curve is actually disadvantage, because it lacks power at the most important altitudes for this aircraft, between 5k-12k. Few mph on the deck aren't going to make it better, it is already faster than other planes at this alt...

It is possibly little faster than 1942 Tiffie (3-4mph) , but we have same plane till the end, where it had increased allowed boost like other british fighters, and then it is again slower than 1944 Tiffie (almost 20mph at best altitude, same plane).

95% of all fights in the arena are under 20k, so I don't care much about higher alts. Most aircrafts are way off at high alts anyway.
