    Salut, Datel!
Could you send me your 3d models you intended for FH?
    AFAIR these are:
    Gloster Meteor Mk.III
    AVRo Lancaster Mk.I
    Dewoitine D.520
    Dornier Do.217E3
    probably more

    Salut Odisseo!
I remember you made halftracks and FIAT G.50
    May I have those mechs?

    Who made Brewster B.239 Buffalo?
What other models prepared I forgot to mention?

I want to gather all models in one hands to be ready to supply them for developers.
I don't promise anything, except that I will try to find Thrapt again and formulate the conversion task myself. Since graphic developers seem to be somehow offline...

    My email is exec@wbfree.net

I got a JANE's he-111 .J3P (its a script-like format), and I forward to -fla-- convert it in a format readable by LightWave... than I would adapt it for WB...

PS.: My he-111 cockpit still safe with wbfh admins?? :)

i've got one picture. gauge consoles are around cockpit with clear forward-down view, like on 177. is that one yours?
i don't remember nick of the artist, but i clearly remember that i answered him with two 111h cockpit photos with instrument panel in the centre of screen.

AFAIR, Datel was doing the B-239 external model. Check screnshots forum, there were some screens there.

Maybe we are conflicting versions... here is the post I sent my cockpits. The links are broken... but I have them at home and if u want I post it again...

Below (at post) you can see an historical photo... I'm not seeing any instrument in center :)

I'll check which version of He-111 I copy that cockpit...

Franz, that picture, i posted it in the thrad you specified. :)

    Thrapt:
the first part of the task is to get familiar with Lightwave, not quite as designer, but as developer of it's data format.
you can analyse .lwo file, or you can learnhow to make own export plugin. vertices and polygons are interesting to be extracted.
LW documentation could be found in inet, i hope
    could you try that?

second part is to sort polygons by the rules i'll try to forumulate soon.

third one will be to make .ini file containing wb-sorted polygons to be importable into richi's editor. format is to be supplied a bit later too.

    what do you think?

    Great stuff Ebola. :)

    But... 2 things:

    - It still needs some poly chopping. AFAIR limit is 500 triangles for first LOD. Exec can confirm or correct this. :)

    - Don't trust too much these polygon counter utility in MAX. Render the scene and watch the "Faces" entry in the render information box. That's the number you should trust for. Each face = 1 triangle.
This happen because after MAX4 a polygon could be composed with 2 or more triangles, so, you may have an 600 polys model, but with 1200 triangles. Triangles/faces are what matters when doing 3D stuff for games. :)
