As far as I know it means "leader" and I picked the callsign originally because of the word "rottenfьhrer". I never thought I'd get the reactions I got out of it though. I think I've been in FH since 1999 or 2000 and I still, every now and then, have to deal with some people that snaps when he/she sees my callsign. It's a shame.

I've always thought it's funny when someone screams in the channel 100 something like "I killed the Fьhrer!!!" :D if I managed to bail before exploding I'll reply with something like "No, I bailed out and now going to go hide in Argentina! :)" - It's all good, all in the name of the fun.

Like you've put it, my good friend, I never meant no harm with my callsign but for some reason, this kid and his squad seem to have a rather provocative reason behind the whole idea which is not cool at all. :nono:

Anyhow, I'd like to let you know I like you too! :alc: And I still planning on coming up there :D I'm seeing a girl here, she will probably come along. BTW, she is not only russian but also jewish. You see, I've been sleeping with the *enemy* ;) heheheh and yes, I'm learning russian, bolshoe spasibo! :dura:

Peace to you all and warm regards! :rose:

    1. Not Goba but Koba.
    2. If you don't know, I'll tell you, that the people who was executed in USSR that time got official verdict of court or in some cases the verdict of tribunal. Just the death sentence was most popular that time.
    3. Some nicks must be banned due to annoing or insulting other gamers. And I think it's a right position.
    4. Maybe you don't smoke, but just drink? :D

What did we talk about? I guess, that all verdicts were made by courte. And I don't think that Stalin executed all of them himself. Isn't it? Let's don't talk about "politicians" now. Do you know, that before the war, in the USSR there was the lowest crime in the europe? And maybe the lowest in the world. And you are talking about non-crime, but "politician" victims. Anyway, the execution wasn't frequently this case. Usually it was "twenty-five". Twenty-five years in colony in Siberia. Or somewhere else.

You'll not believe, but looks like I always sleep well. The same for you.

Estel, Hitler and Stalin had more in common then you think....

    a. Like Stalin, Hitler himself didn't kill anyone.
    b. Like the USSR, the third reich had a seriously low crime-rate. Except for "subversive elements" and "political crimes" of course.
    c. Prior to being sentenced to death or imprisonment people got a "fair" chance in court. Funny enough, like in the USSR almost noone was ever acquitted.....
    d. Like in the USSR, seldom was someone senteced to death, instead they were sent to "working camps" with inscriptions like "Arbeit macht Frei" over the gates. That almost noone came back from these camps (like the Gulag in Siberia) is a mere futility I guess?

Stalin and Hitler. To me they're like an evil twin-brother.

sebbo, I born in USSR. And I know, who was Stalin for people here, and who was Stalin for people on the West. Your TV-made opinion is usual for westbound system.

    Maybe.

Is it a really big crime to have a low crime-rate?
Let's remember USA. The special anti-communist senate commision. And where? In the "heart of democracy".

The victims of that commision in USA are still not acquitted too. So what? Do you know about "reabilitation processes" in USSR? You'll be surprised, but 80% was acquitted.

And again you'll be surprised, but more than 60% came back.

Just don't forget, that Stalin and his army has given a freedom to Europe. If don't like freedom given from the evil's hands - you can return it.

I find this particular remark in very bad taste. How can you be the one to judge my references? For your information:
    1. the Netherlands have ALWAYS had a very good relationship with Russia ever since czar Peter the Great came to Zaandam. Why, do you think, does St. Petersburg have so much in common with Amsterdam?
    2. I have been to Russia myself, I have been to Romania three or four times, I have been to Hungaria a few times and I've been to Bulgaria. This has allowed me to form my own opinions pretty damned well!
    3. Holland used to be the most socialist country of Europe (it changed two years ago) and I myself take great pride in my personal, socialist opinions. The Dutch have never been as anti-USSR and anti-Eastern Block as for instance the British and Americans.

Being "accused" of "a TV-made opinion" really hurts me. Please, don't do that any more, ok?
No, but the way this low crime rate is enforced may be criminal itself. Also, there have been reports about the USSR crime-figures being largely incorrect, but that's a thesis that cannot be proven true or untrue in this discussion.
On the other hand, there is no doubt that crime in Russia is a lot higher nowadays, so let's call this one a draw, ok? :)

Oh, and I am the last one to call the USA the heart of democracy. :) Read some of my previous posts in other threads for assurance.... :D I am not Anti-American, Anti-Russian or Anti-USSR. I am Anti-opression!

If 80% of all people charged with crimes were acquitted, Soviet legislature was really poor. I mean, this would mean that only 20% of the people in court were actually guilty!!!!! That's a LOT of senseless arrests....

Or are you referring to the amount of people that never commited a second offense? Well... If you're expelled to Siberia because you broke into a shop you'll never do that again. There aren't too many shops in Siberia. :)

Jesus! I work for the Dutch ministry of Justice, and let me assure you: if only 60% of the people in jail would survive, we'd get a fucking revolution here! Here, 99.99% of all criminals come out of jail alive. The rest commit suicide or are killed by other inmates.

Please define "freedom". Thanks to Stalin, 150 million people (not counting the USSR itself) in Eastern Europe spend 50 years oppressed by a "communist" regime and you call that freedom? I've got some friends from e.g. Poland and Romania and I can assure you that they have different ideas about "freedom" then being forced out of their countries because they were dissidents. Also, my country was liberated by the Canadians. Not the Americans, not the Russians.

As for Stalin during WWII: He made some seriously dumb mistakes though. I believe 30 million of all COW's were from the USSR..... That's just terrible. I've been told (but this might be wrong!) that these figures could've been 1 or 2 orders of magnitude lower if Staling would've allowed his troops to fall back into more strategic positions every now and then. I don't like the way he threw human lives into the balance like they were mere pawns on a chess-board.

To conclude: I am not saying that Stalin was the worst human being ever. I am not saying that Hitler was, either. All I am trying to do is show you that whatever Hitler did, something rather like that was also done by Stalin.
I love this discussion, btw. You're a great debater! :D

How exactly? If you want to use this reasoning, then it would be fair to rewind back to the beginning of the war, when the RAF stopped Hitler in the BoB. Had Hitler been successful there, he could have turned his FULL attention to the Eastern Front. Victory in the BoB would also have meant the millions of troops deployed to Africa to fight for Rommel would also have been available for the war against the USSR. The USA would have had no way whatsoever to attack Nazi Germany, they needed the UK as their springboard.

Churchill wasnt far wrong with his 'never has so much been owed by so many to so few' speech. Or perhaps im just being biased.....

We owe nothing whatsoever to Stalin, or the USSR for that matter!

Glas, that too isn't entirely true. If it weren't for the Soviets, Hitler could've kept the pressure on England a lot longer. If that would've happened, WWII would've been over in 1942 and we all would've been speaking German now. But yes, after that the Russians would've been attacked and probably would've gotten their arses kicked by the Germans.

Fact is, neither the UK, USA or USSR can be fully credited with victory over the fascists. They did it together. Why do you think they were called "The Allies"???? :D

    Make love, not war!

Exactly mate, I was simply using his line of reasoning. There were many aspects of the war, many individual battles which, when combined, changed the face of the war. The fact is tho, the USSR had a pact with Nazi Germany at the time of the BoB and there was no aggression whatsoever between those two in Summer 1940. Hitler threw his full weight at the UK and when this failed, he turned to the East.

Im not saying it was the RAF who saved the world, but IMHO they did more to save Europe than Stalin.
