    pq-17 is one of cargo caravans from england to soviets, accomplishing lend-lease transportations. left by escorting warships, cargoships were severely ripped by germans.

    public still don't know real cause why warships left caravan.

    Elsewhere I read of speculation suggesting the convoy was bait to "lure" out the Tirpitz.

    Hey, i have heard of this a bit before, a very small amount in a book by an FAA pilot "They Gave Me a Seafire". He wasnt involved so didnt make it sound like such a big deal. Probably would have if he had to swim in the arctic

    I wonder, why Polish cinematography isn't interested in making a film f.ex. about something connected with Polish air force in September 1939...

    Innit rwing? Looks like the rwing to me, normally the bottom of the LW planes had that kind of a camo, while the upper side of a plane would have a darker sort of camo in order to camouflage one in contrast to the color/texture of the surface, no?

    I must agree, I was waiting for shockwaves and such.

    Most of the time the explosion just looked like a ball of fire.

    Not that I could make it any better though :p
