In a Mac? I've read some wild rumours about Wine (soon) working in a Mac, dunno how realistic they are, tho...

I KNEW Glas was going to say something like that :) Glas, WINE is an open source, public domain MS-DOS emulator for Solaris, Irix, HP-UX, BSD, OSF and (of course) Linux.

To Spectrum: Who mentioned the Mac? :) No, I am stuck with this AMD Athlon XP 2000+.... Thank GOD I'm no longer forced to use M$-software, most of it sucks. I recently installed Linux 2.4.19 (SuSE 9) and BY GOD, isn't that the sweeeeeeeetest system I ever ran! Now I'm trying to get WINE and WB to run, so I can get rid of Windows for ever.
As for the Mac: I wish I had enough money to buy one. Wicked machines!!!!! I am/used to be an ACSE (Apple Certified Systems Engineer), but that was 5 or 6 years ago. I love the hardware (even though it's expensive) but I hate the philosophy and design of the software they run. If I had a Mac, it'd be running linux, BSD or BeOS, not sMACk-OS....

X45. China's hotas. Can play any aviasim with it. Almost all kboard commands you can translate on it. But I still cant get used to it. The gunnery get down from 11% to 5%, got 2 new dimentions - the smoth rudder and the trottle - after kboard this is realy new feeling. my flight technic changed a lot with them (it became worth ;) imo). I used to fly fw successfuly with mouse/kboard and now bf109 (ok, sometimes low zero/ki) is my favorite. But now I hardly live without x45.

PS. Re: mouse/kboard.- like plastic girl imho and you never feel it. Dont get me wrong I never try plastic :)

    x45 is ~ 130 euro.
Suggest you to try several brands first and choose. If it's possible.

x45 is about 85 euro max...if it's that expensive in Russia i wouldn't go for it there...as for me, it's a total disaster as far as i've seen it...but im comparing to top of the notch ones, so it doesn't count :)

personnaly have twist saitek, 30euro, for left or right.

the only bad thing of all joystick is that the stick too short.
try yours with a long stick scotched on the originaly, nobuttons but pilot easyier

Yes ..only for "right hands" :-(
F16 FLCS is ab 25cm total hight..20cm for stick and 5 cm for plate.
Very firm to turn! ..but these really needs "pedals"..so ..CH-Pro Pedals
    will be great :)
