    Hi Illo,

    >Oscillation is very minimal after first 500m of climb if you cruise at climbspeed before starting your climb.

I've recorded climb rates every 1000 ft, and the oscillations are quite noticable. It's much more accurate to use climb times.

Roth, where did you get the charts from? You'll need to quote sources otherwise the hosts won't use them.

Sorry to burst your bubble Roth but the data on the page is based on IL2FB flight data.

One big thing I discovered here that unless you have the original performance data yourself (scanned copies of flight data) never argue. Even the test flight data of the planes themselves differs from the performance figures achieved on production aircraft.

It also pays to remember that with WWII aircraft especially German there was alot of field modification kits floating around.

    Malin.

By scaned pages I mean like these:

    http://user.tninet.se/~qbc513r/operatin.pdf

Although that is the performance and operating manual for flying the Hawker Tempest II

What a good idea! If somebody would be up to organizing something this large-scale, I would join it in a heartbeat. Having a group keeping records on the FH flight data would be a tremendous resource for those doing research. It would definitely help people develop strategies. Mixer, or someone else with the initiative and time, if you read this, please consider getting this thing going!

You would probably insert false data showing how your a6m needs to turn better, takeoff shorter, be faster, etc

you can set the airstart in the Scenario-Arena?
    f1 500m
    f2 1000m
    f3 1500m
    ...
    f20 10000m

than everybody can pick a plane and field and has to type ".startlog" and ".fly".
anybody wrote a script to upload and evaluate the result?
