maybe that was the point: if rdr is dwn, you use track-view (alt-v) to find vultchers.
and there you have your problem again.

believe me, when i'm strafing the field, i can spot miscellaneous tigrou's from up to 3km.
and i will vulch them, because they hinder me and my team strafing.

as for peace time, i don't vulch on the runway. i will vulch him when he's on 500-1000m :)

Rolling from attacked field is not very sensible. Better take hmack. Icons settings are good as they are now.

hmack make some results because figthers are draging con otw, fighters create confusion over field.
when we attac a field with only hmack, it's not difficult to clear field in 2 mins

Puting icon distance like it is was the BEST idea admins could ever had.

    WTG!

PS: Next you will want d60 icons so you can see cons taking off from the next field to vulch you?

Hey, the icons are good for surprising enemies, but it's no fun losing a wingman in a furball because his icon dissapeared. Or to frantically search the text bar to type 6 calls to a guy with someone about to blow his ass apart. Planes are merely pixels even at d15... You can't really judge distances right now... But it's good if you want to hide.

I mean you can get separated from someone easily. Trying to guess which dot is your wingman is irritating.

Sorry, but this means only that you have to practice team tactics with this guy.

Please don't tell me what I can't do, especially when I can. If you can't judge distances learn how to do it as I have learnt. Don't take my post too much offensive, but I strongly disagree with people who talk in this way about difficulties that can be overcome with some effort on the part of the pilot. Those things bring more human factor to the game.

If you loose your wingman easily with present icons, I can tell you that I don't loose him so easily and this means that I'm better than you at this point. Why don't you practice your SA and team flying to keep up with current standards? Especially if they give you more opportunities for more successful and enjoyable actions.

    Greetings,
    Daedal

You wouldn't see a good vulcher even if icons were D50 anyway.

Wow, we have lots of Hartmann's clones in this board, don't we? First of all, I didn't mean I lose my wingman every single time. It has probably happened 5 times ever since the new system was introduced. And I have flown 3-4 hundred sorties in between that. It was just that when it happened, it was irritating. Like when you're attacked by multiple cons. Can you still keep formation? I doubt it. You get split up and you get in danger.

And why go on an ego rant and say 'I'm better than you etc' unless well... you know... you have to. Who cares? And no, I don't consider myself a great pilot anyway. But that 'current standards' thingie was funny really. Oh, one day I'll grow up and be like daedal *blushes*. And I'll open doors with my dick...
