The first pictures seem genuine because of the obvious grainy film/filter. It's the sort of an effect that a computer can recreate, but this seems vintage, it's the result of aging. The ones posted by Rolland Garros are almost certainly replicas, the image is too sharp, nothing grainy about those pictures. I'm sure with photoshop you'd be able to modify the pics to resemble real pictures more, but it would be artificial. Really, take a look at the cameras they used in those days. It's perfectly possible that a camera could take a picture like the first three, but it will never take a picture like those ones of Roland Garros. <Z>
Photos i posted were from 2004...but damned cool. A bunch of pilots near where i live built a squadon of Nieuport Bebes - they occasionaly do formation flying calling themselves "the noon partol"
You people are fucking ridiculous. Edit: By that I mean pens are outlawed in the United States. Penal Code gives any pen users 5 years in minimum security prison for their use. I've seen police officers beat pen-users to a pulp. Why do you think Rodney King got it so bad?
i was studying in sweden for few month, broz (tho i dont remember much of this language ) anyway.. its all indoeuropish , pretty easy to get into one form.. more forms of it you know
Just to let you guys know, I'm one of the designers working on the new Canadian War Museum, I have wicked very very rare war images!!! hi-res (some of them are 9Gig), once the museum is open I'll post some of them on the forum. It goes from the boers war to present... I'm in charge of the boers war ans WW1, pretty cool stuff to work with! We have some color picture, but even if they look like if they are color photography, a lot of the time they are just well painted pictures.
It is kind of a running joke in the US that Canada "never has really fought a war and never will." I find it unfortunate that this belief is popular. In fact, Canada is often called upon to carry out campaigns that would beget outcry if done by United States troops. In any case, these photographs are incredible! "Ahead of their time" is an understatement.
