I think that Me 262 should be availiable in Aug. 1944 or little later ... Restrict the possibility to fly the Me 262 online to people that have only streak of 10 or more ... ( In RL, Me 262 was very expensive, only aces flown him ). Also, Me 163 should be implemented on FHL ... : Small and Grass fields, 1 x Me 163 ( dont crash him, or will be lost for long time... 1000 secs or more ... ) Medium Fields, 2 x Me 163 avail, same thing, you crash, you lost the plane. Large Fields, 3 or 4 Me 163 avail, or just 2 Me 163 with less reup time. Damage Model also must be worked ... Few hits on Me 163 and he is history Me 262 has few engine armor, but the pilot is well protected.
Relax Beryl, he's just trying to improve the game Z-wolf, the current setup of the arena is to ensure some sort of a balance. Late war, the reds got good planes, but the golds got good planes as well, they can manage with what they've got now. If we'd throw in the Schwalbe the game would turn into an uninteresting piece of hit'n run in a magnitude that almost blocks any red gameplay. The Me163 would be a fun addition, but wouldn't serve super much purpose. People hardly fly buffs nowadays anyway, and with the coming of the 163 I guess the effort required to fly a buff would easily be nullified by someone who just quickly hops in his rocket plane and blasts him out of the sky. <Z>
Anyway, it is not possible to make the balance with more historical accuracy ? As I said, some restriction must be added ... Like BF 109K ... or Fw190D ... germans dont put this planes in fresh hands of new pilots. Ah ... beryl ... thanks for the idea of my own hostl ...
Your "In RL" is your own fantasy world. Dont just make up things that sound plausible & state them as fact.
@ Zem: the Me-163 would be very useful against the outrageous Pe8. @ Roland: So that wasnt the case? There may have been exceptions, but by and large only the best pilots belonging to the best units flew the 262 afaik. If that ever changed, it was only out of desperation on the part of the Germans.
if someone will make admins to give whistler to 1944-10, i will promote pe-8 to 1941-08. just have fun of watching the collapsing game. glas, you could have satisfaction of killing pe-8 in 1944 that is ruining golds since almost begin of the tour!

well, yivan... 1.server development is... less controllable than development of front-end. damage model included. the only thing we can do is to wait when totaly changed math of dm is filled with correct coefficients. 2.pe-8 überness in flight model and weapon kits could be easily corrected by fix requests. 3.pe-8 hardly can be removed from game since it is work of the same designer as me 410, ki-44 and much more planes. of course, it's the fact of pe-8 appearance can be considered as a mistake, and the only way i could minimize the harm is to put it to 1943 instead of 1941. ju 88s-1 from the same dsigner must be in 1.65 version. please, don't try to fix one error with another.
Yivan, if you HO the Pe-8 you should only have 2x7mm to face. From the damage it seems you attacked from the back and exposed yourself to 3 gunners. Same thing was with strafe's case some time ago - he just parked it right underneath the rear ottos and died instantly.
zeke would be the worst interceptor in the game, if there were no oscar, nate and chaika. indeed, pe-8 must be shot from any aspect rather that from dead 6. because it is really dead six whan considering pe-8. complaining about pe-8 defencive power approaching it from behind with a6m is the same as complaining about fw 190 uber power heading on against it in chaika.
today i got shot by midi in a 190 without hiting a single hit in him, and he put 63x20 in my pe-8. Not so über after all....
No, we couldn't rearrange the balance without gameplay suffering severely from it... Mmmm, so? No F4U4's were used in the European theatre of operations either. <Z>
