You have to remember all the money there's in anti-spam and anti-virus business. If no viruses or spam they would go bankrupt. :)

Wonder how much money [remember, time = money] spam costs to clear?

If I spend ten minutes a day clearing spam, shall we multiply ten minutes by 1 billion? THEN how much does spam end out costing EACH DAY?

I make peanuts, let's say, um, $1.50 in ten minutes.
That means it costs me, in time wasted, or 'spent' $547.50 in a year.
Let's multiply that by 1 billion, shall we?

Okay, you get the picture, right?

Since I opend a gmail acount I get almost no spam.
Only 1 spam mail has ended up in my inbox in the last
4 weeks. All other ended up direcly in the spam box.
And I am routing all mail to my old address to my gmail
address so was no need to tell all my friends that I
    changed address.

I am caught in a hard place.
I got a yahoo account many years ago.
Believe it or not, my yahoo email addres = my name. My name exactly, first name, middle initial and surname.
    like this:
    JohnPMonkeyman@yahoo.com
I am reluctant to give that up.
    gmail?
    I will look into it.
However, I am skeptical. I haven't found a way to get web based emails to be forwarded like POPmail can be.
Then again, things is movin awfully fast fer this old timer.......

That's an easy one. They'll just spread a few more viruses. Problem solved.

I have an email account, paul at *********.co.uk - i've had at least 3 call centre people remark to me in telephone calls what a cool email address it is - but I get about 30 spam emails a day in to it.

Im loathe to give it up :(

And I pay for it as well...
