Dear --tin-, I hate all V1 users for that reason, that if FAU hits "hvy target" (e.g. hang, ammo, radio, fuel, dar) the target is killed only for REBUILDTIME/1.2 seconds.

That's too few and such one dweeb can spoil the work of an team with buffs/cover/bus because field becomes "easy to recap" or that 300sec-killed targets will reup in the inappropriate moments.

Hint #1: you can see distance by .commandos command
Hint #2: afaik there was some "FAU calculator", but I never use it
Hint #3: stop use FAU and join raids :)

Better stop using jeeps. Jeepers (like you use to) are 100 times worse for the game than some FAUers

BTW, are you trying to say, that you aren't using jeeps? :)
Anyway, I agree, jeeps are too fidgety to kill, but they are discussed in the other thread.

Dont let mixer disuade you from the V1, it is a useful tool.
someone vulching your field? make him chase a FAU while you roll & climb.
raiding somewhere? .startfau to somewhere else.
use it for a recon vehicle or if you have very good targeting info you can use it to knock out a 'dar for those key few minutes as you approach your target (yeah, you have to rekill some targets, but you'd have had to pwn them anyway).
Weirdest of all, FAU shot at the spawn point of a CV will knock out acks on the boats even if they are far from port.

No. But i don't blame people for using V1s instead :)

I do dweep, but i'd like them to be taken away. Really. But i don't think that professional dweepers are the best ones to give advices on flying raids ;)

    P.S: No offence

Hehe, that's what I sometimes use it for, too. Probably the best use of the V1 anyway since I've never hit a damn thing with it. lol

You are right, thx for advises.

    But, look on this:

We have fighters who fight, cover buffs, etc. - fighters doing historical actions.

We have hvy jabos who attack ground targets and acks in the historical way (by bombs, rockets (but not the WGr.21))

We have bombers who bomb fields (not the same way as it was IRL), but their purpose is the same (destroying some objects).

We have jeeps who cover fighters upping from field against vulchers, like AA guns IRL at airfields (I don't discuss the implementation of this cheat-jeeps).

And we have FAU-like rockets which was user IRL for attacking important objectives. But killing important objectives (like dar) at FH is ineffective because it will be killed for small time only.
But we found FAU in game can be useful for absolutely unhistorical actions like "attacking cons", as "recon", "killing CV acks in the cheat-way". That sux :)

Uh, the FAU is supposed to be V1, right?

V1 was used for mostly annoyance attacks against population, in most cases AFAIK.
The rocket had not good enough dev.effect to hit (effectively) Strategic targets as factories and so on.
The V2 OTOH had a bigger payload, and COULD be used for strategic attacks, but was mostly used for same as V1.

I might be wrong, but I have mostly studied THE TEHCNOLOGY, and got the "target information" as second hand info only.

So the V1 is in game as it was IRL an annoyance without big strategic value.

If anyone has better info about how it was used, please correct me.
