    You all.
It appear to be faster to land. I do it when I don't have land gears.

Nope, naval F-111B was never used, it transformed into F-14. But all 111s had a hook for landings at short runways equiped with lines.

The RCAF has a fleet of CF-18s [F-18s made our way - each has a donut dispanser and a coffee machine TIM HORTON'S; thanx]

When one of those planes is buggered up, the hooks are used.
Also, they come in very handy in many of my country's tiny airfields out in the boonies.

I really really like the F-18/CF-18. Our government took a lot of shit when they decided we would equip with them. Now after many years, those planes have proven their worth. They are wonderful and cost a fraction of the other offerings from the USA. Strongly built [carrier planes are made for ver hard jolts] and made for constant modular upgrades to keep current] and multipurpose - a fine combat craft suitable for a nation completely unsure of it's military mission.

Now, how the fuck do we excuse our gov's decision to buy old, second hand subs from the Biritish, when the yanks were perfectly willing to sell us nice, new shiny ones WITH a warranty and only made a few miles from where we base them?

And our troops are still driving Leopard tanks - OLD leopard tanks.

In Afghanistan, our troops arrivend in green, 1950s style combat dress, steel helmets and black boots. The yank troops there saw it, were disgusted and, after many months of our gov doing NOTHING about it, those same yanks, without any prior permissions, sent truckloads of desert camo, tan boots and modern helmets to our couple thousand guys, saying, "Let's let our bosses argue over who pays for all this. TAKE it, use it!"

I dunno if the stuff is paid for yet [canadians are cheap motherfuckers] and we would be tit's up without yankee hardware and generosity.

There is talk now about upgrading our Heavy AFVs....

    I WANT AN ABRAMS!!!!!!!!
    of my own!
    Fuck. Those tanks are excellent.
