Well, it's what sells that makes the money :D If you build it, they will come!
In Air Warrior I flew for 4 years. They had many arenas for fun for all folks. Names like: (in relaxed realism) WWI Arena, Korea Arena, Europe Arena, Pacific Arena 1 & 2, Fighter Town Arena, Tournament Arena, Training Arena, Ladder Tournament Arena, and Full Realism Arena for the above arenas. An RPS was unheard of so many aircraft never saw use unless you were in one arena which used a map present in WBFH called ETO later on. That arena had a type of RPS. It was in FR and was difficult. Anyhow, the REAL problem I've found on simulators like Air Warrior, I, II, III and WarBirds is when some user thought that everyone should follow some particular idea. Or, would come into an arena and on open channel of said country, scream and chastise all players for not playing in an organized manner and with that one player. It was as if all the pilots were in his squad or something. This would happen if one arena was imbalanced where outnumbered pilots were in trouble. Most people figured it out and would help for 30 min or so and come back. It was all in good fun. However, in the paid for sims, if a trouble maker like that showed up, all it would take is a person to page a staffer and that person would get a warning. The staffer would then stay there for a while to watch, and if it continued, the staffer would suspend the user for 24 hours if the user was getting outright ridiculous. Some lost their accounts. Which was a good thing, especially for the cheaters. I've seen some people in WBFH get outright vicious and stupid, cursing up a storm.

So, as far as arenas go...I think that a FighterTown is a good place to take out your workweek frustrations and get some VERY good gunnery and maneuvering practice! It was always orderly and in good comradery for those with the common sense. Everything got old and those who got their fill of :dark: would leave and go to other arenas. :fly2:

I played that game for a few years.
After a couple, I was convinced by some other players to go FR [Full Realism]
    And what a BIG DIFFERENCE.
    There were adults playing FR.
I was called Niles. I flew a Ki-43 almost exclusivley.
I was shot down many thousands of times. I sucked.
In the forum, I was a hero.

The skins you see on the shots are made by our famous skinner e-b-o-. Some of them are only offline avail, but most of them are online avail, too.

Uninspired. Looks like it's still basically the very same game.
