    for E-serie
    i found 2 bomb-bays
    2500kg bombs intern
    1500kg bombs extern
    8x50kg in second bomb-bay ( maybe more )
    both bomb-bays able to carry SC1000 (1000kg-bomb )

    don´t forget E-2 carry 2 x Hs293A under wings ;)

    maybe you need more infos?

E-2 had normaly fixed MG151/20 under nose or MGFF front otto
    on front most E-models use 1 or 2 x MG81Z in heck
i had spezific drafts for K1 or N2 if you need for bomb-bays or gunners or something else

    imho:
1)emil is most convenient for the game, it is right between 88a-4 and 177a-3 by performance, firepower, and date.
2)e-1 is not numerous and not representative
3)e-2 has dive brakes that would be required by some geek for the game, despite noone ever used them and dive brakes were often removed from combat planes.
4)e-3 is the very similar to e-2, but officially without dive brakes.
so the question is performance of 217emil without dive brakes.

as for bmw, i read that it was mostly 801ma for 217e. or not?

p.s. and without rockets which impossible for this game. amongst 177a versions anton-3 was selected for the reason of higher load than a-5 and absense of rockets.

    thx 4 explaining
i am not an expert in history of do217, but i think if there no information of bmw801ma in the dornier archive, than this type of 801 was not so often used

do u mean i am too late with my infos :(

as for absense of 801MA, it's hard to say.
bmw 801ML was used too (different airscrew).
so which engine was used for E-3? W.Green says that E-4 was powered by BMW 801 C. also E-4 had cord-cutters against aerostates.

    climb performance / top speed

    weight 16,5 t 5 km in 34 min - top speed 405 kmh @ 2,0 km / 402 kmh @ 5,0 km
    weight 15,5 t ? - top speed 430 kmh @ 5,0 km
    weight 14,5 t 6 km in 32 min - top speed 472 kmh @ 5,0 km
    weight 12,0 t 6 km in 13 min - ?
    weight 11,3 t ? - top speed 528 kmh @ 5,0 km
    weight 10,6 t ? - top speed 530 kmh @ 4,7 km (no payload)

    max ceiling
    10 t = 9 km
    17,5 t = 6,5 km

for points in between u can use a linear relationship

*) source: do217 + bmw 801 a (performance plots from Rechlin with E-1 and wooden blades)

    (i) metal blades: additional 10 kmh and additional 0,5 m/s climb performance

    DIVE BRAKES !!!
