    ive heard it said that the titanium skin got so hot from air friction it took 1 hour of sitting on runway befor pilot could exit the plane.

    looks like F-80 trainer version...there is a book written by an SR-71 pilot that gives all the details of it's operation...its around here somewhere..anyway, no sitting in the 'pit for an hour after landing

    Plane is some variation of the lockheed shooting star.
    Even a short look at the tail will tell you it is not an F-5.
    Anyone who thinks otherwise is retarded, wrong, poorly educated & probably ugly.

    Your correct, But it was derived from the F5. Do me a favor vib put up a picture of the F20 and the F5 for me. Can't figure out how to get such nice large pics in this thread. <S>
