warBirds doesn't work on GeForce 8800GTX?!?!?!?!?!?

I've got the EXACT same screens. Does anyone know a solution? Driver-update, switching to other modes, nothing seems to work. Help!!!!

 

Migrating to another game, maybe...? WB won't let you play until you grab that old wrecked MSX. Damn, evolution scares as hell.

VPC is free and easy to use but it is reely slow and joystick support is sketchy

right now i download vmware server wich is suppose to support usb2.0 and better performance

it can use VPC files too

in short:

i do not recommend for installing virtual pc or vmware (or other virtual) unless:

-u want to deal with windows activation (hardware changes)
-u want to mess around trying to get usb/joystic support
-u want to spend hours figurin out how to get good game performance (video, cpu)

other than that they are nice for tryin programs and stuf u dont want to risk main HD for

 

I had a similar problem. I updated video card and directX and it worked. Now my problem is that clouds are in squares, but it is OK to flay, as soon as I only fly bombers normaly.

 

I had the same thing happen with an Nvidia card, when I used the wrong vid drivers(trying out someone else's upgraded drivers or maybe it was the Windows suggested drivers-can't remember).

I reloaded the drivers that came with the card and then I upgraded the ActiveX. I believe I went from version 7 to version 9. Also I made sure I had the right resolution setting and the right color settings (something like 1024X768 and high color or 32bit color).

tried updating the drivers, tried updating directX, tried sacrificing a virgin (which are DAMNED HARD to come by, lately) and shaking a chicken at the motherboard. Nothing works.

Fuck this, I've still got me old computers sitting here. Guess I'll just re-install Windows2K on one of 'em and install boody WB there.

 

Maybe you should try to sacrifice few polish guys in some sort of weird, bizarre and satanic way...?

Or turn them into spanish...
