warBirds doesn't work on GeForce 8800GTX?!?!?!?!?!?

To fix my problem with the geforce i had to run an older driver. It worked for me might be worth a look....

 

"Mee-LAN" is the name of a soccer team.

MILANO is the name of the city where that team is along with another team called "Inter"

There was a coachworks company called Touring in Milano.
There is a city near Milano called Torino.

There is a soccer team in Torino called "Juventus".
There is another soccer team there called "Torino".

Now the question :

is a "Muf-lo" a buffalo from Milano or something else?

muf-lo is a non sense nickname for a non sense user. A very long tradition wants that the decomposable biocompound behind this screen has to have nicknames tha start with "m" letter. There's no buffalo with that name down here but rest assured we'd be the best in cooking it!

sebbo - try finding the earliest driver you can for the card.

I have an old NVidia G4 mx440. WB worked fine until I installed the latest drivers for a different game. At the time I started with like v2.x.x updated to v8.x.x and settled with v5.2.1.6 Because it could run both WB and the newer game. (falcon4)

You may be able to do something similar. Your cockpit graphics and ground graphics appear normal. Your sky looks awful. I had a similar problem (blocky clouds) but colors were ok. Its not much, but its what I can offer, that hasnt already been said.

Well, I guess it's good to be a rich bastard. I had another computer sititng around doing nothing, so I am installing WBFree as we speak.... Athlon64 XP3200+, 2 GB RAM, GeForce 6800GTWS... If this doesn't work I'll napalm Nvidia's corporate headquarters.

 

Yep, some of us are hanging on to the older machines to run WBFH. Now that's dedication...or is it addiction??

 

A bit of both, I guess... Well, I've go this nifty KVM-switch so I'm putting that to good use now

sheesh, i just got into vacation and already have to download wb just to teach bas a lesson?! ok ok.. lemme see if i still know the plane names..
