Windows Vista and FH Warbirds

AMD 64 x2 3800+? For warbirds? 1gb ram? 160 gb hd?
1000000 fps is really needed that badly?
Duron 800 with 256mb ram, and any gforce mx is more than enough to play FH, with voice communication and winamp running in background. And yes, it was my box a year ago.

I wonder if my p2 300 with riva tnt is able to run wb. I guess it is.

I spent a lot of time getting to know Snoopy. I spent a few years. I know Snoopy in a manner similar to I know the roof of my mouth. Or, say, uh, how you felt on yer bike when you were a kid.
A snoopy can do that whatever the fuck maneuver called, uh, you know, you take the stick and go [reeeeeeeer orowwwwwwww, fffffft ffffffft sounds] and the snoopydoes this cool whicked, well where it gets the guns pointed to that guy there and the bullets spigot poof.

So, what that means is I am not a good enough stick to get a streak anywhere as big, but I am good enough a stick to ruin a good stick's streak.

yeah streak is easy to get...myself got around 30 ..all i did is fight over my fields to earn...is the same for those fellas with 70 kills(lamers)... ect...the most meaningfull kills is pk... lol boy does it piss off the other pilot and makes you happy chappy lol...yeah pk streak!

 

I finally upgraded my computer (from athlon 500mhz to c2d e6750 %) ). I installed vista home premium 64. I can play the game but keyboard input doesnt work. However, if I bring up radio box (through radio button or mapping the function to joystick) I can type and send stuff. So, if that's how it works, you need a joystick with many buttons I guess.

Running in "compatibility mode" didn't change things (in fact, it makes no difference in any game as far as I've tried). If I can I will install another windows besides vista anyway... and of course I will try wb inside linux with qemu

 

Seems to me that this thread went off subject and warbirds vista players is pretty lazy gang!! To get wb running on vista took me two days - out of which i spent 90% of time searching all forums possible (Jesus, what places i've seen!) 5% to realize that there is no answer on internet (must be a mistake) and the rest of time to actually do it myself. All you need to do is go to dispay 'personalization' then 'easy of access' (is that for handicapped?) and in 'make computer easy to see' check 'turn off all unnecessery animations' and to my suprise 'turn off background images'. Thats all folks! Enjoy, however keyboard still dead.
