smtp.mail.ru - problem

    My wife has email account on mail.ru. On her mobile PDA i have set all account settings. Its possible to receive emails via POP3, but sending through smtp.mail.ru doesnt work. Everything seems to be setup correctly.

    Anybody give advice?

    Some time RUSSIAN smtp (yandex too) not work correctly. You can try login by WEB, or wait 3-4 hr...

    I have the same problem here in Australia. Looks like they relay messages only from Russia now. Use gmail ;)

    I never use mail.ru smtp server but had just tested smtp.mail.ru. From my Ukrainian IP it works correctly.

    I've used "Russia" as umm... a general term :)

    It seems this trouble is with smtp.mail.ru only. For example another Russian provider - smtp.rambler.ru works ok. But as i have seen on several forums, there are people worldwide with same problem...
