polish national emblem

    i found some pictures with differend orientation of the national emblem
    can someone explain the reason for this?

    like ying and yang - masculine and feminine pilots?
    may be not specified by standard, so certain painters do it as they like.
    or specified that odd-numbered crafts must have forward-lower red, even-numbered or unnumbered forward-upper red
