Would he like to know because the allies are in disadvantage in naval battles??
Because the axis, in subject, they have 2 aircrafts torpedo:

    Ju-88
    B5N2

While the allies only have TBF's?????

Albeit they could insert new aircrafts as PBY-Catalina or SB2C HellDriver..

    Think on that ok!!!!

    Thank you very much!

    A Catalina would be interesting...(seaplanes).

This problem will be fixed as Li-4 (or il-4) is introduced.

BTW, allies have some really powerful anti-ship aircraft knows as buffs. One B25 level bombing can capture one with no dificult (althought I read they used to attack ships from low using rox, torps, "jumping" bombs and those 75mm).

BTW- the G4M can also carry a torpedo.

Aside from the obvious superiority of carrier fighters, the TBF is much better at anti-shipping. It not only carries a torpedo, but also eight rockets. You can potentially kill three destroyers in just one sortie.

Plus, the TBF is more or less invincible to Zeros and, to a lesser extent, 109Ts. The B5N and G4M are definitely not safe from F6Fs and F4Us.

It's not the number of airplane types you have, it's the number of USEFUL types you have. The Axis are at a serious disadvantage in carrier ops, and their only real advantage in anti-shipping is the Stuka, which gives heavy bomb capability from all fields, all through the war.

hmm show me mass produced Axis carrier plane?
As we remember 109T was a good willl of FH developers, he was produced by 60 planes only. On what plane u count?
In ww2 since Guadalcanal Japs lost technical advence /and number/, and soon lost all carriers;)
And Germans do not have any carrier. So, what we talk about?

Fla with whole respect, B25 H cant be used here like in real life, we do not have single swim destroyers and transport ships and its one way flight , AAA are to strong.

I know, low lvl attacks are suicide agains cvs. It's just that I had just read about it when I saw this post (wouldn't it be interesting to see some bombsbouncing on the water ?). But in overal lvl buffin is way too efective against ships

    Closing this subject.
Would not it be easier to introduce a torpedo in the armaments of B25H?
At least we would have a medium bomber at least to transport torpedos, almost, being equaled to the axis that possesses G4M and JU-88..

Why not just give the Mosquito torpedos? The Mossie was used as a torpedo bomber in WWII.

Hmmm... but I'm not sure I would want to fly the current Mosquito within 150 Ft. of the waves, all that cardboard could get soggy too easily.

It's a shame, in WWII the Mosquito was a great success a fast and popular plane. In WB it's a great failure, avoided and unpopular. It is obviously modelled incorrectly.

While I'm dreaming : I would also love to see the Lancaster fly in WB.

    @cross-

dont`t agree cross. In real life Mosquito was a fast plane an it was often used for recon and bombing strategic targets.

When Mosquito comes out it is one of the fastest plane and if you fly it right no one is able to get you. It`s the best fast buff in fh so what you are talking about

It is avoided because most people like to fly fighters or hvy buffs, but thats not a fault of the mossie :nono:

I often see mossies but i rarly get them down :turret:
They are very high and fast :flyer:
Maybe thats the reason, why you don`t see them :D

Not at all, you just have to launch your weapons before you get into the no escape zone of the ack. It takes practice to hit from that far out, but it can be done quite effectively and survive. Divebombers can drop high enough to survive, torpedo and rocket planes can launch far enough out to survive, and the B-25H's cannon can be used from VERY far away.

Flubby, I think my frustration maybe the lack of versitility the WB Mosquito has compared with IRL and perhaps the WB Ju88. See below.

Ramzey, The Mosquito did indeed have torpedo abililty during WWII, and even landed on CVs! See below.

Here is some info regarding one of the Mosquito variants ? that used torpedos - in WWII. Check this great link out for a lot of facts on the Mosquito.

The de Havilland DH98 Mosquito was built in 43 variants; a number only exceeded by the Junkers JU88 for a military aircraft. It took on the task of bomber, night fighter, attack aircraft, trainer, torpedo bomber and civil transport.

    Mosquito TF/TR 33 (Merlin 25).
Torpedo-reconnaissance fighter/fighter-bomber for carrier operations. On 10/06/43 it was agreed to be just possible to meet Spec S11/43 with the Mosquito, although it would need a larger fuselage to accomodate a third crew member. Max speed would be 350mph, cruising 260mph. Span would need to be about 60 ft and performance suffer. On 14/07/43 a carrier fighter (AI VIII) was considered, and a naval escort fighter. Ultimately a deck-landing version of the Mk VI emerged as the TR 33 to Spec N15/44 with LR387 as prototype.
The TR 33 had upward folding wings, arrester hook, four-blade propellers, oleo-pneumatic landing gear in place of rubber-in-compression, American ASH radar, JATO gear, four 20mm cannon and provision for under-belly 2,000lb Mk XV or XVII torpedo or bomb or mine. 2x500lb bombs could alternatively be carried in rear bomb bay, and wing loads were as for the Mk VI. Length 42 ft 3 ins.
LR359 with A-frame deck-landing hook, reinforced fuselage, increased power and four-bladed propellers but with fixed wings was the first Mosquito (and twin engined aircraft) to deck-land on HMS Indefatigable on 25/03/44.
