Global warming showed it's sunny face during xmas ;)

Had as far low as -20,5C last evening and around -17, -18 during the last days.
Now we have Siberian air enroute to keep it nice and comfy also over new years eve.

I am quite glad that I threw out the old heater and installed a new one this october. I did find that the door to the second entrance is leaking like a sieve though. Yesterday (-14C outside, +21C inside) I had +8C on the floor directly inside the door.
I sat there for a few hours, tweaking and tuning settings for the new heater (don't want electricty to kick in too soon, but if I only let heatpump part run, wifey will pack and leave .. and that would mean I have to do shopping, which I loathe. Cooking is one thing, but shopping for groceries is grosse hehe) I could actually see the snow outside through the gap between door and frame. Hooray for a new thing to fix. Cant exchange the thingy now though, it's too cold to have the door open a few hours while exchanging thingy. I dont know what to call it, is it called gasket , the thingy that seals a door when shut?

    ah whatever.

Happy new YEAR all sectarians, FH'ers, mcLOUDers and sundry!

    :D

    Yeah , i know what u mean...
Buying groceries all by myself is actually easier than packing to my car

then even have to drive to my small house

    which only has 2 entrances:(
I hope in 2010 economy might be a little better so i could set up heating in my 2nd garage as well as in other 5 rooms, because its too damn cold when u can heat up only 2 living rooms,2 bedrooms and 1 garage :((((

Since I really did not understand rudeboy's post there, except he tells me I'm stupid, i will now go to something completely different, ON TOPIC.

The polar ice is gone, and all polarbears are drowning. This is bad news for us, since we might get floodings, and airfax won't get any sex.

But is it really so that the icecoverage in the arctic is dwindling? The telly tells us that it is so, but is that new or old data? According to satellitemeaseures, 2007 had less icecoverage than 2009...

And for boa and rude, this is the last possible Volvo for me:

Year might I extend up to 1970 when it was finally replaced by this box
