News seems to indicate a flight, but this video appears to show only a high-speed taxi with nosewheel lift (one of the last stages before first flight).

In any event, congrats to the folks at Sukhoi!

Just in time to make Gates reconsider the decision to slash the F-22 program. ;)

The usual Russian recipe again; make sure it's bigger and heavier than the American one, then advertise it loudly in all kinds of news right when it's capable of leaving the ground for a few seconds.

Better than testing in Iraq to compensate for small penis.

So you're saying that they do not look like each other even the least bit?
    I see...
What was the name of that river in Egypt again?

Or mby you're saying that it looks more like the YF-23?
I'd say they stole ;) ideas from both, but does that really make any difference?

OK, let me rephrase my first post:

    "Looks F-22-YF-23ish..."

    wow, how sarcastic :)
i think it was some way as americans stole F-15 ideas from MiG-25 shape :)

sonds like "mmm... looks like polish-ukrainian..." :)

if u cant see A LOT of key differences between F-22 and YF-23... i dont see any points to continue dicuss with u.

hmmmm... or.... ок, maybe we'll try to continue after a first-flight of all-polish non-stolen-and-original-construction V-generation jet fighter :)

And on the defensive again :)

You know admitting that it looks a bit like those fighters would not cost you anything :)
Denying everything and turning it all around against polish ukrainian whatever is just silly, but then again this is the kind of reaction I was expecting :)

Actually, it only gives an impression of being that big and heavy :) I've also been kinda deluded by the first couple of photos, but if you compare it to the escorting Su-27...

...it's obvious that the new craft's even somewhat smaller.

Al, you speak bullshit. It has similiar air intakes and V-stabs like 22/23, but looking that way you can say that Bf109 looks like I-16 : got same wings, fuselage and stabilisers on tail. It looks very sexy, a really nice aircraft IMO. But i though PAK will be light plane, something like JSF, while it seems much bigger, like Su-27 or Raptor. WTG Russia, hope we will see that machine soon in Farnborough, Paris or berlin.
