Just an update to my Teamspeak Server.
TS2 will be taken offline this summer.
    TS3 is online and operational.
    ***************************
RED = lakoske.dyndns.org:9987 ( this is the default port )
password = enter (the word enter)

GOLD = lakoske.dyndns.org:9988 ( server will be up soon )
password = enter (the word enter)

    ***************************
    Enjoy!
Original post is below for historical accuracy.
    ---------------------------------------

Well, I have two TS servers up and running 24/7. Have had them up for over a year now. One RED one Gold. I am the SSA of both and they are physically located within easy reach for maintenance. The Red gets used 'ALL' the time. The Gold only two people have ever logged in.

    ***************************
    RED = lakoske.dyndns.org:8767
password = enter (the word enter)

    GOLD = lakoske.dyndns.org:8768
password = enter (the word enter)

    ***************************

The RED side currently has over 60 registered RED pilots. And we have 6 TS admins who are on regularly. 4 English speaking and 2 Portuguese speaking. Known squads using server are Legionnaires - Elite - USMC BlackSheep - TS BandOfBrothers - Estilingue Brasil - Jambock - Pif Paf - and others.

The GOLD side 0 registered as yet - 0 admins as yet.

Both servers have the main channel called the "lobby" where anyone can enter and check it out. To go to the registered/permanent sub channels you have to ask an admin to register you. If you behave badly or have a constantly transmitting mic an admin will usually kick or ban you, based on the nature of the offense.

The FH channel has a sub channel called bombers. This is so when a bombing mission is needed, buff and fighter escorts can switch to that channel and not add to the chatter on the FH channel. There is an identical setup for TH.

IF you setup your TS client correctly you can switch channels while still in Warbirds using key commands. You can even setup a secondary mic switch so that you can talk to the FH channel while your in the bomber channel or vise versa. (instructions are in the day room, channel description, on my TS server)

Also for those that have decent machines. There are two tools I recommend. TSO (Teamspeak Overlay) This adds some text to the lower right of your Warbirds screen. When a TS player keys his mic, his name appears in the lower right of Warbirds. When you switch channels it tells you which channel you switched to.

The other is called GameOverlay. Once setup, gameoverlay will display a "Snapshot" of your TS window within Warbirds using a key command. It does not effect gameplay on the machines I have tested. And it is nice for navigating the TS channels in case you get lost and are not sure which channel your in. The Overlay has user definable transparancy settings so you can still function in the game.

Both of those tools are WB 3D only! And really handy for those of you with only one monitor.

In closing.... All are welcome to login and for those that become regulars can become registered. Until then, Unregistered or Anonymous as well as registered players can still join the lobby and create their own channels with passwords. The server automatically deletes the channel once it is empty. I have asked a few golds that I see fly often and have talked with them about being admins on the gold server, but most either run their own or dont want the responsibility.

FYI - only one port is needed per server. So the individual who wanted to open 51 ports on his server is opening the server to unnecessary risk. Each server can have many many channels. Channels can be password protected however once a player is registered they can go into any channel of that server, password or not. (This item, permissions and priviledges, is being addressed in the next server release of TS 3. However TS3 has no release date as yet)

As of today, only 3 users have logged into the gold server. After giving the logs a quick scan... Total gold usage is about 14 hours!! woo hoo!! Unfortunately the hours were logged solo. As of yet, there has not been more than one gold logged into the TS server at any given time. The good news is that at least the users stayed in while playing just in case someone did pop in. My logs are full of these....
    10:05 login nick: goofy
    10:06 logout nick: goofy
    10:08 login nick: sam---
    10:09 logout nick: sam---
    10:10 login nick: blinky
    10:11 logout nick: blinky

If they would have just stayed on TS while playing FHWB then they could have had teammates to fly and chat with. Instead they hop on TS, see that no one is on then hop off.

Kudos, to the 3 that stuck with it while playing!

@ Maletin - I tried to update the wiki page you have. But it does not let me edit. I searched for a way to register and login but could not. Let me know where I need to go or feel free to update the wiki with the TS3 info.
    Thanks!!

I was thinking same thing about you , Al. Even before i opened this thread.
Seems that you have to reply on every thread on this forum, and then of course , you have balls to say something like this for Jacobe.
    You are fucking forum addict.

    lol, internet @demian & friends

Goes to show how it's possible to make strange bedfellows on the internet, literally. Demian, it seems like you have a fascination with standing up for the "disenfranchised" underdogs on the forum. Lots of folks love underdogs (in sports, etc.) What you don't understand is a lot of the outcasts here have rightly earned their reputation.

So we do have something in common, Gandhi. We are both obsessed.
Just because you isolated yourself , attacking group or simply more than one guy , doesnt mean you are on the right side. I can understand your need to fight, but you should fight for the right things. Those guys you are attacking are not those who start fights, who insult, who live on forum just to prove they do exist. You are one of those underdogs, trying to provoke ,trying to be different, trying to be seen . If that is the only way you can contribute to people and forum , so be it

To the extent that an "establishment" can exist outside the Russian sphere in this forum, I am a branch of it. Not a majority, but a plurality.

The group you are in consists of a bunch of single-issue devil's advocates. But you really don't have a lot in common, because you're uncompromising on the single items you care most about. To give you one example, you and looseleaf might share the opinion that the US government is an evil entity, but I don't think you appreciate how even on this issue you have irreconcilable differences.

For example, in each thread about the issue, looseleaf quickly unleashes the rhetoric about the military-industrial complex, the social elite that steers policy, and who the "real" architects of imperialism are. You both agree that the US government is "corrupt" in some way, but in looseleaf's world it is very much an American problem with an American cause. Looseleaf wouldn't care that Brazil traded 12 times as many slaves as the US did, or that racism today is more rampant in Mexico or East Asia. Slavery and racism is about MLK and whites in America, haven't you heard? You're free to point out the US's problems, demian, but remember that they're more important than your own. Brazil-bashing takes a back seat to America-bashing any day of the week. It's all about America, stupid!

And for that reason, you'll never be coherent as a "group" (which is why I use the term loosely). It's not easy to wear multiple hats when they're permanently grafted to the skull (looseleaf), or sold on the street to buy more hash (jac).

    You're the underdog.

Lol, I counted at least four or five things that you have in common with G, all in that one post... :D

(I guess six if you count that "obsessed" in it too... )
