I don't think this has been brought up before but could FH admins maybe set up a Teamspeak server for the main arena? Or maybe one of you has an extra PC that can host a server 24/7? I just thought it'd be nice to not have to type everything out but I know there might be cost issues or connection issues with our worldwide community. Or is everyone content with typing?
After thinking about it, there may be spying issues if people were allowed to switch channels by themselves and other such loopholes. I dunno. EDIT: Although it could work if some communication rules rules were set up like no giving coordinates or field names. If you don't transmit that info, the enemy won't really have anything to gain. And IRL, pilots could tune into enemy frequency as well (although God help them if they understood a word of it).
I don't think that changing of TS channels by pilots could be usefull for spyings. Let's say that You comes into German squad's channel and what ? Use nearby sitting friend that knows language ? I think that 100% of players are not a KGB agents BTW, is it possible to hi-jack or sniff radio messages ? Or did messages are encypted before send ? Just curious.
to fly with wingman for exemple; sometime i play with a friend and we loogged simply on ICQ, video session w/o view, and it's pretty good , more private and more simple than TS. the prob today, is thay u can talk only with one friend, perhaps in future...
Can you imagine the confusion of having a general TS server in FH?? Everyone talking at once would overwhelm cyberspace
I have teamspeak server at ts.erastoten.com Eveyrone is very welcome to use it, password is rabbit for quick connect. But If you want to register you will have to contact me. TSBOB's skycptn also has teamspeak server at lakoske.dyndns.org and their password for quick connect is enter if im correct. ron ps.
