A P-40 has been found in the desert by a Polish oil company worker (Poland owns the sahara?), serial number shows it was flown by famous Canadian pilot Stocky Edwards, and later by RAF pilot Dennis Copping.

Lots more interesting read than the ad-bot that promotes loans.

    Thanks McLoud :)

Wow, the level of preservation is amazing!

As my junior high-school teacher used to say, aluminum oxidizes and that's a good thing unless you're fancy and well capitalized :) Never polish (the verb) away what amounts to a bit of self-protection.

This is the only one I've seen close-up.

Apparently, he got lost in the desert. A similar case to the Lady Be Good

God-damned rag heads already looting the remains.

What happened to the second plane?

I can't believe the second plane didn't radio for help.

Where was this plane in relationship to where the two bases were?

Not the slightest shred of investigative reporting, lazy bastards...

Poor s.o.b. pilot.. what a way to go...
